Alfie, did you do your rain dance? We had some much needed rain today although it was still around 21 deg! The grass is yellow and dry everywhere you look. Hope you're managing to get your gardening done

I'm sooo looking forward to breaking up on Friday for 6 whole weeks! :j I'm going to Bulgaria too with my family and my bro and his family for a fortnight in August so a much needed holiday
I really want yo get back into comping but can't find the time lately so hopefully I can in the holidays.

Hi wingo, :wave: lovely to 'see' you, hope you're keeping
well.


Needless to say - it's another hot, dry & muggy start
to the day here etc etc etc.


No rain my way wingo - can't recall the last time we had
any - seems a lifetime away.


Still watering garden pot plants in the cool of the evening
with trusty watering can. Managing to keep most alive but
'fraid even a few established shrubs are looking fairly sad -
lawns are absolutely parched, dry as a bone - but not
worried about them because they'll soon perk up come
some much needed rain.


Bet you can't wait until Friday wingo! :j Have a wonderful
family holiday in Bulgaria.


I'm off to local supermarket this morning to get a few
provisions in & to make the most of their air
conditioning!

Morning peeps. Very black clouds overhead here this morning but no rain as yet. BT man is beavering away up the pole in the far corner of the courtyard. Morning everyone.
Cooler out at the moment.but set to warm up as the day goes on. Hello wingo, enjoy your 6 week break and Bulgaria looks a nice place to visit,enjoy your holiday there.I have been and watered the plants earlier and had a few bees buzzing around. I checked the bowl of water i put out for them and it was empty so refilled it. I do it every morning so looks like other animals are having a drink as well. I am doing the taxi run today so hoping to catch up with housework inbetween. Hope you all have a lucky day.

Morning everyone,


Had a lovely time in Cumbria - went along the north coast before going to Cockermouth. Our spa morning was good, not our usual activity but we enjoyed it. Hadn't had a swim for about a year. DH had a massage and I had a facial (included in prize) Lunch was brilliant.
Going to make you jealous now Alfie, we have seen quite a bit of rain!
The sun is out now though here in South Shields. Going to head out for a long walk along the promenade once our breakfast goes down a bit.
Got some shopping to do in afternoon and then having an Indian tonight.


Was lovely to see you both in here FF and wingo.


Must get organised. Hope everyone has a lovely and lucky day.

Just had a bit of an lol moment. Door went, opened it and BT man was standing there it was not until he took of his hard hat and spoke I realised it was my cousin. He wanted to use the little boys room. Made him a cuppa to have with his sandwiches and had a bit of a catch up. He is now back up his pole:rotfl:

Morning folks. Dawn chorus has us all awake early again (Mr Seagull 4am) Had a little rain overnight and it is still dull and cloudy but hopefully like yesterday sun will appear at some point. Sister phoned yesterday to see how I was she has booked another cruise and was telling me about one I might like (No thankyou) She went to Vietnam last year and loved it so may have a look at that. She also loves the Maldives (she's been there three times). I laugh when I think of her holidays when she was younger. She wouldn't venture anywhere other than Italy. When she was a student she went on a tour of Europe with her friend. They spent 6 weeks in France, Spain, Italy, Germany . They bought some kind of travel card and stayed in pensions etc instead of booking in to hotels. Anyway enough of me rabiting on hope you are all well. Good luck with comps.

Sounds as if you're both having a brilliant time sheils. :T
Hope you enjoyed your walk and also the curry (yesterday
evening). So jealous that you've had rain! We are so
desperate for rain down here.


Joking aside - we had yet another serious forest fire in the
early hours yesterday. More than 85 acres destroyed. _pale_ :sad:
Police are treating it as arson. Makes me so angry!

I hope you're all ok - sigh ..... still as dry as a bone here,
humid etc etc. Had a wonderful dream last night that we'd
had a glorious rainstorm - but no such luck.


In fact we have weather warnings for tomorrow re.
thunderstorms in parts of Hants! Not going to get over-
