Good afternoon all,
Turned out a lovely day again. Just had towels to wash though. Always think I should wash when it is nice.
Loved your comp Alfie - can just see that in our garden. Would take up a nice chunck of it too!
Great you made it out to the shops rose. It isn't nice being stuck in.
We are heading off to Cockermouth tomorrow for the night, heading to the Spa morning and lunch I won on Monday and then having 2 nights in South Shields. We are going to have a quiet time after that I think.
DS3 coming home for few days near end month and then have DS2's gfs party at begining of August. We are going to meet all her family at it and DS2 and 3 are doing the cooking so should be good.

Especially love the sound of the following event:
SCOOP: A Wonderful Ice Cream World
Live Now: 3rdJuly - 30th September 2018
The British Museum of Food returns with its first major exhibition,
just right for the summer.
SCOOP: A Wonderful Ice Cream World is a celebratory show that
will explore the past, present and future of ice cream.
BUY TICKETS HERE >>>
No ordinary museum exhibit, SCOOP brings your favourite dessert
to life in a total sensory immersion: expect ice cream weather, eat
glow-in-the-dark ice cream, understand the neuroscience of the
frozen treat and explore the dark side of desserts.
SCOOP's premiere this summer coincides with the 300th
anniversary of Mary Eales' Receipts (1718), the first printed
volume to feature ice cream in an English publication. Eales claims
to have sold confectionery at the court of Queen Anne. This year
also marks the 399th anniversary of the first ice house built in
Britain (to make ice cream) in Greenwich Park by order of James
1.
The exhibition is centred on the world's largest collection of ice
cream paraphernalia, featuring vintage equipment, service-ware,
advertising, art and music drawn from 14,000 items collected over
40 years by Robin and Caroline Weir, authors of the award-winning
book "Ice Creams Sorbets and Gelati The Definitive Guide" from
Grub Street Publishers.
A special feature will focus on the life and ingenuity of Agnes B.
Marshall, known in Victorian times as the Queen of Ices. Far ahead
of her time, Marshall wrote several successful cook books,
patented an ice cream machine and even suggested using liquid
nitrogen to make ice cream as early as the late 1800s. Guests to
SCOOP will step back in time to try some of Agnes's favourite
recipes.

Morning peeps. Nice and sunny again here this morning. Hi firefly lovely to see you. Neighbours hubby is bringing me in my newspaper this morning and a roll with bacon and egg from the cafe. They always have their Sunday brekkie from there. Saves with cooking and washing up as they usually head out for the day on a Sunday. They do a full cooked breakfast for £3 and you get toast or roll and tea/coffee as well. They sell loads and loads of them so there must be profit at that price at the end of the day. During the week at lunch time there are queues for soup sandwiches etc. It is a very popular place. Well enough about food. Take care everyone and enjoy the sunshine.0

Morning everyone. Been raining overnight here. Awake since Mr Seagull alarm call at 4am. Have GK's for a couple of hours today. They want to make a trifle for their tea tonight. So jelly has been setting overnight and custard is chilling in the fridge. DIL is going to bring me some whipping cream. Have a flake in the cupboard if they want to sprinkle that on to it. So all they have to do is whip cream and put it all together. Thought I had hospital appointment today but don't it is Friday. (just as well I checked appointment card ) Would have felt a plonker phoning to see where patient ambulance was. Anyway hope everyone is well. Happy comping folks.0
