    Hi everyone,

Been having a great time but gosh it is hot! At least the Village Hotel in Portsmouth has air conditioning!
So enjoyed visiting Coventry and DH loved the motor museum.
We have been visiting English Heritage and NT places which are so beautiful in the sunshine. Went to Portsmouth Historic Docklands today and Southsea. Watched the HMS Queen Elizabeth turning round while we had a boat trip around the harbour.

I was 22 when I had my first son and 36 when I had DD which I thought was really old enough!

    :hello: Good morning everyone

I hope you're all well and coping ok with the heat on this
    sizzling Saturday! soleilcoeur.gif

Sounds as if you are having a wonderful time sheils! soleil07j.gif

My family had a brilliant time in the States. They returned
to their home yesterday late afternoon (about 5-6 hour car
journey, as the crow flies), and then attended the RAF Ball
in the evening! Don't know where they get their stamina
    from!

Son-in-law is also taking part in a charity run tomorrow
(in aid of Cancer Research), so all in all it's a fairly busy
    time for them! :D

    drapeaugb.gif It's Armed Forces Day today ....

local events will be taking place across the country. :j :T

Well, have got a fair bit of catching up to do today including
loads of washing so had better get on. :p

Morning everyone. Another sunny one here. It is DS's birthday today. Unfortunately he is still at sea. Not due home untill some time in August so a while to wait. Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and not suffering too much trying to sleep. Have not decided what I am getting up to today. Will see what it brings.

Morning peeps. Another sunny one here. Hope you are all fit and well. Hip is giving me a bit of a problem this morning but no doubt it will wear off as day goes on. It is not sore just stiff.

Morning. Enjoy your days off Indie not long till summer holidays. Thanks re book win.
I seem to win books or tickets. I took the Roehampton tennis tickets to DD1s tennis club earlier in the week. As DH and I decided going to GSs sports day and next day tennis with no shade was not on. Last night I had a lovely message from one of the two women who went saying they had thoroughly enjoyed the day. Last week we went in a Gant shop but did not find anything my size. I will go back and buy a long sleeved blouse or a jumper for winter. While shopping I did find some linen trousers in Hobbs to fit and was able to use the £20 off birthday voucher they had sent for having their emails.

Rose hope the stiffness goes quickly.

Sunny and very hot here already. After football we sat out in garden till really late last night in fact until it was dark.

Alfie keep meaning to tell you that the hypericum in our front garden is the biggest it has ever been, massive. No pruning last autumn. For a few weeks now the whole thing has been absolutely covered in yellow flowers no space in between. It really brightens the road up as not many have flowers in their front gardens now.

Hope everyone has a restful Sunday. Going to be hot today take care.

Morning, I would love to win tickets to go to shows in London but unless it has an overnight stay it isn't worth it as the petrol or train fare is so expensive now. Good idea to go back to Gant and get something for winter as long as you are not like me, put them away and forget about them..lol.
I am just going to put a second wash out and may pop out later for a few fridge fillers.Hope you all have a lovely day.
