    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all fine n' dandy & coping ok in this rather warm
    weather! soleil.gif

Just back in from giving the container plants a good drink -
the lawns have turned a pale yellow colour through lack
of rain. On the plus side at least I won't have to mow them
    for a bit! :D

Little C. Spaniel sadly caught and killed a dear little field
mouse yesterday! _pale_ She was showing great interest
around the base of one of my patio containers (standing on
little block/feet like things). Little mouse was hiding there.
Then it scampered under another pot then to a shrub which
attracts lots of bees. Needless to say Spaniel followed,
causing mayhem as she went! The bees weren't happy!

Anyway, eventually Spaniel seemed to give up and all was
well, or so I thought. _pale_ She was happily playing on
my rug with what I thought was a little stick, On closer
inspection I realized to my horror it was the poor little
mouse, dead as a dodo.

Quickly grabbed some kitchen roll to scoop the poor
creature up and yuk, mouse was still warm with bulging
eyes & blood on its back. _pale_ Spaniel gave me the butter
    wouldn't melt look.

Such is life I suppose. Anyway, couldn't stay mad with
Spaniel for long - was relating the story to my son
later on via messenger and he said that she probably
looked on the mouse as just another toy/plaything &
didn't mean to kill it. _pale_ :p She's obviously been
taking lessons from their cat! Never a dull day at
    mine!

It sounds as if you're having a brilliant time sheils! :T Did
you manage to visit the transport museum & cathedral.
It's years since I visited Coventry, (fascinating history).
One of my friends went to Coventry uni. So pleased that
your Dad is home now, peace of mind for all.

It will be wonderful if your neighbour is well enough to
come home at the end of the week rose, fingers crossed.

Oh, the Good Morning Britain weather girl (Laura) is filming
this morning from Buckler's Hard, which is actually fairly
near to me - beautiful/very interesting place to visit, just
    up the road from Beaulieu.

It's wonderful that you have some help a couple of times
a week fire**fly. :A My DH used to be footie mad as is my
son, can't stand it myself! :p Although must admit I am
keeping a check on our team - am hoping they'll thrash
Belgium Thursday. Apparently the Belgium team are ace,
so fingers crossed for our lads. Still hate football though!

The doggies are already starting to get twitchy indie! :D I'm
sure they can both sense that Mum, Dad and kiddies will
be back soon. :p They will be ecstatic when they see them
    all tomorrow! chienbisous.gif

Well, must get on. Busy morning here - this afternoon I'll
find myself a nice shady spot in the garden. :D

Have a lovely and lucky day all, please take care whatever
    your plans.

Morning, just been out and watered plants, suns out and there is a nice breeze out there. Shame about the fieldmouse Alfie but as your son said she probably thought it was a toy. She was lucky the bees didn't sting her.
Glad you are having help ff, it gives you a break, and you must remember to look after yourself as well.My son hates football so don't really know a lot about it as never really watch it.
I am just going to put some washing out then catch up with some comps. Hope you all have a lucky day.

    Morning another sunny day.

Firefly great to hear from you that you have some help. Take care of yourself too. Big hugs.

Indie great you could help your nephew out. Often think of the boys. Did you see in IWon that someone did win a car on England scoring in the first match. Good luck for Thursday.

I really cannot omplain about football. 23 years ago DH had a heart attack walking into one of his clubs football matches. DH found a Stewart who realised what was wrong and somehow managed to have a club doctor attend him in a couple of minutes. I am sure they saved his life. DH then had to have four heart bypasses. So we were fortunate.

Alfie you are having an eventful time. They will be pleased when family return.

Rose I think your way was even hotter than ours yesterday. Hope your hay fever is not too bad today. Great to hear your neighbour is on the mend.

Yesterday I had a surprise delivery of a children s book from primary times.
As all the birthdays are finished will save it for Christmas.

Take care everyone in this heat. Be lucky.

actually quite pleasant out at the mo with a lovely fresh feel.
I love the early mornings/late evenings, always seems a
    little cooler and bearable.

I've given the plants a good water, fed the birdies & the paws,
who are now sending up happy zzzzz's!

Could really do with some rain now! :p

    Morning
Didn't get in yesterday as was at workhave today off so washings done and out and off food shopping later. Had to take Charlie to the vets tues as he was bleeding from the penis and after examinations and a urine test it was decided he had a bad UTI. So he is on anti biotics now and i have to take a speciman in next tuesday, that is going to be fun getting one..lol.He is a lot better today and back to himself. Have a good time with the family Alfie expect the dogs were really excited when the arrived back.
When i hear that name i feel the same way rose, although many years ago the murders will always be remembered by the moor. I hope the army being called him gives the firefighters a rest as they must be shattered. Fighting any fire is hard but in this heat and them in full gear for 12 hours a time must be taking it's toll.
