Ps. I don't do blinds anymore as the last woman put me off. Even though I know that I can do them.
I have plenty of happy customers with blinds but once bitten...

Morning. A slower start to the day. It's officially my day off.
Dgd has gone to school on her bike, so I didn't have to get myself dressed and out. I am going to have a soak in the bath in a few minutes. With some Dead Sea salt that I bought in 2011!!! Why was I saving it?
It was bought on my 50th Birthday when Molly41 and I went to Ragdale Hall.
We are just over 3 weeks away from my 57th birthday, so I figured I could use it now!!
My Mum arrives back from France today. 2 months earlier than planned. She has developed Asthma since her last illness and has a puffer now. I will need to make sure that she remembers to tell the uk doctor.
All the elements of my holiday with Dgd are now in place, all we have to do is decide what to pack, and which day we end up visiting her beloved Zoomarine.
I can't afford the swim with the dolphins this year as it is euro ;179 each.
Perhaps I will see how much a boat trip to see them in the sea would be . Not the same as up close and personal but probably a more affordable distraction. We are only going Ryanair, and staying in 3* self catering, so I don't expect the accommodation to be more than basic, but I hired a car for just less than £80 for the week, so we can go out and about to the Lidl or Aldi in the town, get food and cleaning products if it's a bit below par. If it's not then it's a bonus.
Problem with going 4* with Ex and 5* with Mum is I get spoilt.
Starting to look forward to the break, 3 weeks today.

Time for the bath, washing on, and a visit to open up Mums house, and drop by DS to see he is doing stuff.
The deposit was refunded for the strimmer today. So that's a relief.

Enjoy a good soak in the dead sea salts Mooloo . I swear by them for easing aches and pains . I keep an eye out for them at bargain prices . TK Maxx usually have top quality brands much reduced in price . We got some a couple of years ago which had dried lavender and rose petals added and could only use them if we weren't going out as they rexaed you to the point of sleep . I've added my own dried lavender and rose petals to the plain packs ever since but for evening baths only .
As you're struggling with sleep and racing thoughts Kneipp lavender herbal bath is very good . It isn't cheap but there are bargains to be found online . It's effective for painful joints and aches and pains but also calms the mind and helps with fatigue .

My youngest will go out like a light after a bath using it and wake after a good nights sleep .

I expect your mum is looking forward to being back home . We hit 30 degrees here yesterday so she'll need to keep her inhalers close .

I'm so glad you don't do blinds at the moment . I doubt any of us will forget that woman in a hurry . You have more patience than me !

    take care

I called to see my Mums friend to let her know Mum was coming home today, and got some very sad news that she had been taken ill recently and has just found out that she has cancer of the colon, and the liver. She did give me the technical names but it went over my head. She is not planning on telling my Mum, certainly not yet. The woman was very matter of fact, but I could tell she was upset and worried that she may be terminally ill. She was also worried about her son who lives at home and the impact of caring for her in the future was going to be tough on him.
I am going to find it very hard to keep it a secret from my Mum, I don't normally have secrets.
I think I must have agony aunt written on my forehead today as I just had my friend on the phone, upset by her ex who belittles her in front of her son, her Son won't go to his Dad and he's blaming her. Trying to be objective and listen to her.
Called in on DS and was pleased to see a marked improvement on the house and garden, but I could still smell the lingering of cannabis.
I have been asked about a place for contact with the boys so I have said that I can do it ( that way I also see the foster family and the boys). But I will need to juggle life as always to fit in the changes.
Mum is back but Wheelchair assistant never turned up at the plane and three of them had to struggle through the system on their own.
She has told my brother when he called and I think he will complain to the powers that be.
Luckily the taxi driver found her and got her safely home.
She is still livid with my sister and her partner. I am going to have to try and get her to let it go or life is going to be difficult for us all.

My cistitis is worse than ever today and I have had two courses of the powder drinks, so 12 sachets now. Time to see the doctor I fear, but when as I am on my own in the shop and tomorrow I am going to have to close for lunch to take Dgd to her opticians appointment, so can't then close early for the doctors. Tomorrow is gonna be fun!

Sorry to hear about your mum's friend's diagnosis. Not to be blunt about the son caring for her, but my beloved relative who was diagnosed with liver cancer went from being well in the March to passing away in the July. Diagnosis was only at the end of May where they gave him 6 months, he survived 37 days beyond that.

Maybe a quiet sit down with your mum when she has recovered from her journey and a conversation about what she hopes to achieve for herself and the rest of the family by continuing to be angry with your sister.

I know sometimes it!!!8217;s hard not to show your feelings but how does it help, Mum is old and needs to feel life is settled.

Maybe a conversation with your sister would help?

Oh Mooloo, so sorry to hear you're still suffering and I hope you can get to the doc asap. You should really have gone before now, I expect, but it's difficult when life is so busy, isn't it, you end up just hoping it will sort itself out. Sorry about your mum's friend too x

    Hello Mooloo,
I have been following your adventures for a wee while now.
I'm not actually a new user, I've been an MSE user for just over 10 years, but managed to lock myself out of my account, couldn't remember my password, so decided to start again :-)
I wish you health and strength to keep your dreams alive!

Drinking loads of water, took a pain killer yesterday and another this morning, getting easier now:(
    Busy as usual
Brought home sewing and sewed until nearly 11pm last night. By the time I catch up with life I think that I will have missed this glorious sun.
Dgd needs new glasses, £90 after NHS voucher used.
School trip needs £31 and another £300 through the corse of the next few months.
Just stopped to eat my lunch and drink another pint of water.
Been working with Shop door open, too stuffy otherwise.
