    Love your tmi, gts!

    Well done on losses, Sunshine, Lioness (magic!), Nicki, Mrs_R, ilovetea, ruby, dusty and jay.

    Congrats, Caterina, on being SOTW.

    Fab NSV, bubbs.

    Kathryn, I hope you’re a bit better now. Thanks for the chart.

    Ssm, I like the Skyr ff yogurts.

    Well, I had a disappointing gain of 0.6lbs this week, and I can’t complain about it too much after the forgotten glasses debacle and the chicken casserole. I’ve tried to mitigate yesterday and today.

    Breakfast: hexb toast & jam (2), grapes & melon
    Lunch: banana – yes that’s all, I am in control knowing what’s for tea!
    Snack: shortbread finger (5) – weak willed, because of snow
    Dinner: 1 Tesco pork & caramelised onion sausage (6 ½, so just the one !), mashed potatoes (1 for share of butter), onions, peas, ff Skyr raspberry yogurt
    Snack: part hexa cheese (rest used in mash), grapes

    I was planning on having LMcC roro sausages, but I had thawed 10 of the others for the family coming for dinner. Unfortunately they didn’t come because the snow was too bad, so I cooked them anyway, and DH and I had some and I froze the rest. So I stayed within syns today.

    I've only recently started eating yogurt. I buy the 0% Greek from Aldi which is just like Total. It's lovely and thick. I mostly have it with berries.

    Another vote for the Aldi 0% Greek yoghurt. It gets used daily here, very nice as a sour cream substitute too.
  • Can I pick your brains.

    I am looking for recommendation for the best FF yoghurt please

    I really like the Liberte fat free yoghurt. I have the one with honey.

    Today's plan:

    B - Overnight oats
    L - LO cola chicken with pasta
    D - Not sure. Something with chicken
    S - Fruit.

    Didn't drink enough water yesterday, so must improve on that

    Well I weighed in with a 1.5lb gain yesterday :(
    Had a week of lots of days having no control over what I eat, and when they are shoving lots of blood and stuff in me that must weigh something.

    Not sure if I will be weighing next week, as I can't weigh normal day due to op, but in theory I could go the evening before. Depends how I feel I do this week, but would like a good week.

    Today's plan
    Breakfast - porridge and fruit
    Lunch - pasta salad
    Dinner - Garlic chicken

    HA - milk and cheese
    HB - oats
    Syns - salad dressing (1), wotsits (4,5)

    First weigh in today and the results are - 1Lb. Pleased with that.

    Today's plan

    B - melon, blueberries, grapes, kiwi and banana and a FF strawberry yogurt

    L - Egg, bacon, beans then an apple

    D - Toasted sandwich of lots of ham and chicken, dry fried egg, BBQ sauce (1tsp) mixed with FF yogurt

    Snack - another muller lite, another apple

    HEA - milk in tea

    I am joining my DH at his PT session tonight which isn't until 8pm so I'm having a protein rich dinner at about 9.15pm so no speed foods with it.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

    I had a sneaky mid week weigh in today and really pleased to discover that I have now lost the first stone. I started on 22 November and despite falling off the wagon over Christmas and having a small gain, it's taken exactly 8 weeks to get here which is what I would have guessed was realistic starting out. I have a way to go but this is a nice boost!

    Did anyone watch the Diet Secrets and How to Lose Weight programme on Channel 5 last night?Quite a lot of useful info in there,and all those views of very large stomachs in closeup certainly made me want to continue with my slimming regime!:rotfl::rotfl:
    Interesting that low carb to reverse or control diabetes is finally coming to have a lot more acceptance among the medics. Now all we need is to get the BMA and NHS guidelines to agree,should only take another 20 years or so.:p
    They really got stuck in to debunk detox diets and the juicing craze too.Good old SWs emphasis on eating the whole fruit instead of juicing is looking better than ever.

    Sunshinemummy I really like the Lidl own brand skyr - raspberry and vanilla are the best and the plain one is a creamier quark substitute (especially good in carbonara!)

    Have the first exam today for my masters and don't really feel prepared but also don't think I can fit anymore information in my head. We shall see what happens. Exam isn't till 6pm which means I'm going to try and eat my main meal at lunch time and then take snacks for before and after.

    B - Porridge (HEB & 2 syns), pear, blueberry
    L - LO Tomato Prawn Pasta and Courgetti from last night
    D - Pepper strips, pickled onions, cornichons, 40g lighter cheddar (HEA), 2 boiled eggs, ham chunks
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000
    Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 2017
  • delighted to report -2lb for me last night - yay :) bit of a beige/syn-ful day today mostly due to the end of the month limp by my bank balance and partly due to the dire weather!
