Great news for the blueberries fans :T I've never been a fan of blueberries I wish I liked them as they are good for you, got loads of antioxidants in them apparently

I hope the same happens to grapes at some point as I love them they're probably the fruit that I eat the most

Morning all ...well done to all the losers & those that have sts - a big well done goes to Whiplashy!

Reporting a +1lb ...enough said lol

A little disappointed but I’ve just wanted stodge this week andhaven’t done any exercise except walk the dog. Didn’t help that we had tubs of cheesy cheddars in the house which I tried to resist but you know how it is.......

I did take my fat person’s evening dress to the charity shop yesterday so I haven’t got it to fall back on and will slowly declutter my wardrobe of other fat persons clothes.

Class is still manic though a lot better than last week.

Glad to hear about blueberries as I’ll have them at breakfast.

Defrosting remnants of a chilli to have tonight when hubby has his Chinese though I will be having my wine tonight

Well done bubbs, whiplashy, barleysugar, caterina, chrisv and matron midge on your losses.

I'm pleased to report -5lb (over two weeks) for me.

Relieved as I had had a bit of a meltdown and gorged on chocolate on Wednesday, but I kept to plan for all the other days and it doesn't appear to have had a disastrous effect, thank goodness. I've now given OH the kit-kat tin to hide to prevent a re-occurrence.

    Todays plan;

    Breakfast - kippers
Lunch - ham sandwich with wholemeal bread (HEXB), red pepper slices
Dinner - HM cottage pie with swede and carrot topping

Snacks - HEXA cheese, red peppers
-2 1/2 lbs and happy with that. Off to Pilates soon for some body magic and trying to stick to plan as a Saturday after weigh in has always been my treat day....
:j:j well done and thanks :D

Hi - I wondered if there was a SW thread in here, between paying debts, slimming world, work and running I don't have much else, so I should say hi here I guess!

I started going to SW in June 2016, I'm currently 4.5 stone down, 3 more to go. I desperately want to get those gone before my 35th Birthday in July, but that's a tough ask, I know. I was up at 19 stone at my heaviest, I'm just under 14 now. I want to be 10st 3.

My main issue with SW is the cost. My food bills used to cost £30/week, but they are up at 60-90 now. It's a very middle-class diet, no way poorer people could afford this, but I decided that losing some heft was more important than paying bills right now. Roll on target so I don't have to pay!

I've eaten the same thing for lunch since I started, Szechuan Chilli Chicken - it's basically rice with chicken, peppers, and seasonings. It's filling, reheats well and has half a syn. People mock me for it but then I just bust out my instagram picture. I'm focussed and don't have time to explain my food for them.

My biggest problem is drinking - I work for a brewery and we get free beer and we socialise a lot. I'm also rather into craft ales, so I've found it hard giving up weekly visits to pubs. We're down to a couple of times a month, rather than week now.

I'm sure you guys are as lovely as the people I've found in the challenges threads, I'm excited to share our journeys and watch us all get to where we want to be. x
Welcome and well done on your loss:T:T:T

    Celeriac is Fibre and Speed

I have used it as the topping on my cottage pie this speed week along with butternut squash - cut into cubes, boil thoroughly and then use a blender to mash and use as the topping.

If you don't mind the syns you can also roast slices in Marsala Wine :D

    Thanks for the welcome, everyone.
Groceries-wise, we're a 2 person household. It's gone from oven chips and chicken nuggets to everything completely cooked from scratch. The veg and fruit and the lean meat and various dairy products has upped it substantially. We never ate out or had takeaway anyway, because we have debt to pay down, and we never ate cake either, so the food bills were tiny before.

I go to group but our group has been through 3 consultants and I'm not quite clicking with the third one, so I'm looking around now, moving my group and running group. I don't think I could do it on my own tbh...

This is me , i def know i couldnt do it on my own, as for costs, did your choc bar, crisps etc you would buy when you are out include in your shopping bill, i do often think £1.75 for raspberries etc BUT then i think well i wouldnt think twice before buying a sausage roll and bar of choc, same cost;)

More good losses today. Well done all!:T

    :rotfl:I'd call that a NSV!:T

I think the challenge is 9 weeks with last WI on 4th March miss teach. You didn't do too badly for 3 weeks off plan.:) I think kathrynha must still be poorly but I'm sure she'll add you in when she gets back.

I'm another that doesn't find SW particularly expensive. I'm another Aldi convert and I find about £40 a week is enough for the two of us (alcohol budget is separate though;)).

    Today's EE plan:

B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions, pickled cabbage and ham
D: chicken 'kiev' (with cottage cheese & bacon), Mexican potato bake, asparagus
Syns: extra porage 6, syrup 2, 1.5 for cheese on potato bake, weekend wine!:j
