Happy Birthday Tweets!!
Evening all. Great loss Kathryn, you're on a roll again. I'll let you know my target after weigh in on Friday, if that's OK.
I didn't forgo the chips tonight as planned but there were only a few, also had a small glass of wine, but I did resist a wonderful dessert menu. I ended the day over syns but I can make this up over the next couple of days.
Tomorrow's plan
B Banana and Alpen Light
L WW wrap with chicken and salad, yoghurt and berries
Snack Apple
D KFC style chicken and SW chips with salad/veg
Lots of chicken but it all needs to be eaten up... and I like chicken!
Keep warm everyone.
Thank you

greentiger wrote: »Your beef & ginger recipe sounds just my thing, gts. What kind of beef do you use? Can you share the recipe in more detail, please?
It's really easy - the night before (as I find the flavours have time to marinate into the meat & its easier than trying to sort it out before work!) I put the diced beef (about 400g) into a bowl with about 5cm of ginger that's been peeled & sliced, 2 chopped red chillies (with seeds), 6 cloves of pressed garlic, 1/4 cup of dark soy sauce & 1 cup of chicken stock and as many mushrooms as you want.
In the morning then that goes into the slow cooker and I cook on high for about 6 hours.
20 minutes before the end I add chopped spring onions and then about 15 mins before the end I add the chopped pak choi. I do add a little cornflour paste at the end just to thicken the sauce.
Then you can eat it with what ever you want - additional speed, rice or very often we have them with udon noodles.
I'll post a picture tonight if I remember!
We have had some snow here but its stopped now - still ruddy cold though.
Stay safe people!0 -

Son born 13/02/210 -
Very snowy here today. Daughters school is closed and can't even see the road. About 20cm out there, but difficult to tell as a bit drifty.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - porridge and fruit
Lunch - HM soup
Dinner - Chicken casserole
HA - milk
HB - oats
Syns - cranberry juice (2.5)Zebras rock0 -
Got a rare snow day here, think every school in Norfolk is shut. Usually if staff can safely get in we should go but Head told everyone to stay home :j. I had already walked the dog in a blizzard though
.
We have a good 20cm if not more, came over my boots though.
Son has had message saying if he can get in early to go but they are shutting the store at 8pm (his start time) so he won’t be going . Can’t get out our road for one thing. Hubby can’t even find his van, it’s white and covered in snow :rotfl:
Wonder if we will have to go tomorrow? Forecast is for more and it’s still snowing on and off.
Police have said not to travel as most of Norfolk roads are blocked and snow ploughs are out. Don’t think that’s ever happened before.
Stay safe all :AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Not a single flake of snow here. We'll wait to see what happens later. It depends how the Met Office description of 'South Central England' translates to the ground. Enjoy your snow day tie and are you having one too tweets?:)
DH suggested going out for lunch but I'd rather not. We are meant to be out tomorrow although that may be cancelled depending on weather. We're going out after lunch to order a new car. Probably the same as the one I've got now but a new model.:)
I'm going to keep plodding over the next month but I feel it could be a bit of a losing battle. I've got my birthday, Mothers' Day, a holiday in Italy and a weekend away at Easter. I'll just do my best but as I'm going to a wedding on the May holiday weekend I'll probably spend most of April undoing the damage.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: veggie omelette with picklesgammon slices, SW chips and whatever Speed I rustle up from the fridge.:D berries & yogurt.
Syns: Extra HEB 6, syrup 20 -

Plenty of snow here,in a northeast coastal town. I live at the top of a steep long hill, and can see the snow flurries sweeping in in waves over the sea - straight from Russia. Thanks comrades - not.
Across the road there is a wide expanse of what is normally grass. Now the 35 mph gusts of winds are tossing swathes of snow powder up in the air like a dust storm, then minutes later its a blizzard as the next snow shower arrives blots everything out.. Fascinating to look at,but I'm glad to be indoors.-3C,but wind chill making it feel like -11. And 6 inches of snow on top of the privet hedge looks like icing on the top of slices of Xmas cake. All beautiful to look at from a warm double glazed house:D:D
Sick of porridge and soup, will try omelette for lunch0 -
