Just a little update, hugs to all that need or want them

Facebook sale £380 (won a prize and hubby decided he wouldn't use it so we sold it) - feeling embarrassed by this :o

Congratulations on winning it. If it’s not going to be used then by all means turn it into cash. I’m wondering if it’s a prize item I spotted a Faceb@@@ discussion about earlier? I would sell it too, as I already have one, and need money more than a spare. Don’t be embarrassed at all.

Been really making an effort with swagbucks this month in the hope of a larger than normal bonus. Got my 21 day running streak but think I might struggle Friday as at work all day and then out on the evening for a family quiz. 21 days is good for me though so wont beat myself up about it.

I'm very impressed. I don't seem to ever get more than 2 days in a row. Might try to give myself a mini goal next month to at least manage 7 days straight.

  • Bit of a rant

Some of you may remember I was enquiring about an old BT pension and found out I could claim it aged 50. I'm now 51.

They sent me details of what I would get aged 60 and said it would be a lower figure if claimed early which I quite understand.

Getting these figures is a different story!! Despite me sending them several emails to request said figures, I keep being fobbed off with...."They will be with you in five working days"

This has been going on since October! Slightly longer than 5 days

So I rang them today..........and they have down that I want to start claiming it from March!! Why would I if I dont even know what the figures are?

So I got passed onto someone who seemed to know what they were on about and he explained he would chase it up personally as it just needs signing off and you guessed it, I should get something through the post within 5 working days. Watch this space.

Another frustrating thing with another company. Next directories.
I cancelled my directory as husband also gets one so obviously dont want to pay for two. This was a few months ago and yesterday received a bill for the directory I cancelled.

What is wrong with these companies? I got in touch and they said charge will be cancelled. Took a name as it seems the only way to get anywhere these days is to keep companies accountable.

So my morning off has been spent chasing companies that cant seem to do their jobs. Really annoys me.

    Sorry ......rant over.

Rant away. KM. I feel so sorry for the hassle you have been having. It's all so frustrating. I hope things will get sorted for you very soon:kisses3:

I can really sympathise with what you've been going through this morning as I've been driving myself crazy doing the same, although with different companies. As you say, what is wrong with these companies?

I ordered a food mixer from Argos online to be delivered to me today. It is a gift for a relative from another relative who has no transport or internet access. I often order things for her online whenever she asks me and get them delivered to my address. Easy enough for me to drop them off at her house. Gives me an excuse for a cuppa and a piece of her lovely cake;). It wouldn't have been any quicker to do it 'click and collect' in store as our nearest store is tiny, they hold very little stock and they always have to get ordered items delivered to them to be collect the next day anyway.

Instead of a Food Mixer they sent a Thermostatic Bar Mixer Shower!. The package had my correct address details and my correct order number. The Yodel delivery man wouldn't take it back, he said I had to contact Argos and arrange for a collection. Why????? I phoned Argos who say they will send the ordered food mixer tomorrow and collect the shower mixer at the same time. I hope they do as my relative needs the food mixer as a gift for someone tomorrow evening. I'll be on tenterhooks all day tomorrow waiting for it to arrive, I've had failures to deliver on the promised day before by Argos:(.

I've also been chasing up after a delivery from another company because the outer box had split open in transit and somewhere along the way someone had partially 'secured' it with a small tatty bit of selotape. Not sure if it was dropped, handled roughly or was tampered with:eek:. As the contents included edible items I'm not too happy even though they all seem to be intact.

I hate days like this:mad:. OH has no sympathy, he says I bring all this angst on myself. He is totally against online buying, he needs to see what he's paying for before he parts with any money;)
  • Hope you get your delivery in time CBC.

Seems to be the day for frustrations.
