May I join please. I really don’t need any clothes and did aim to buy nothing this year but this may be a bit over ambitious so I have devised a plan. M&S vouchers should keep me topped up with undies. I volunteer in a CS once a month so I will pay myself £2.50 per hour to spend there =£120 a year. Christmas and birthday money doesn’t count. I think I am ok for footwear so £0. Maybe another £130 for anything I can’t resist so £250 for the year.

    Added, you are number 17.

    Welcome back :)
  • Thank you. I will try very hard this time.

So not bought anything so far but am finding it hard. Have also done a self-imposed not to buy unnecessary things/items apart from absolute essentials for the whole month of Jan '18.

Why have I done that? oh well, it is making me think do i really need it or just want it...

Have a good rest of the day and week everyone.

Please may I join ? I have a budget of £100 for the year, no more than 5 items. My shopping list includes 1 pr jeans, undies, and a summer top; and I must budget for 1 x dry cleaning for a cashmere jumper. I am on the lookout for toe-post sandals and am unhappy with my day bag.

January : I have spent £3.50 on a bag from Oxfam. Not sure if it will fit the bill, but there's always ebay if not.

Bought a pair of shoes for work, this new job has meant a lot of new purchases. The shoes were M&S Yellow sticker, £26.64 reduced from £69.

Have spent £51.13 this year so far. Last year I had only spent 38p by April!

Hello #6 checking in. I still haven't bought anything. Had a look in a charity shop when I took a donation but nothing I fancied.

I'm sticking my budget and I have to because I got paid last week and it was wrong :( My overtime wasn't added so no extra money for me. Annoyed but I will get it paid next month grrr.

This weekend I want to sort through my clothes and get some hangers as I've sorted out my chest of drawers and found that I didn't know what I had so if I hang them all up in the wardrobe then I must wear them. I'm going to turn the hangers around and after a a few months, if the hangers are still the opposite way then there must be a reason I'm not wearing and it will go. My wardrobe is tiny so have asked my partner if I can share some of his wardrobe for this experiment. He said yes as long as I don't add to it so all good. :)

    Hope everyone is well.
