Spendy few days - got some Christmas gifts and a food shop. Keeping saying it but really need to get food spends under control, we've spent over £250 already this month  that does include toilet rolls, washing tabs and cleaning stuff but there's only 2 of us and I no longer have to buy expensive gluten and dairy free stuff. Realised earlier that despite a huge spend yesterday we're going to need bread, milk and potatoes tomorrow  Ah well just have to get through the rest of the month without spending much.
I've finally got round to looking out my Christmas card making stuff so will make a start on that tomorrow. I also plan to wash my car if it's not raining and possibly go to the gym.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

£5.59 spent today on a small food shop. Didn't end up going to the gym as we walked into town and had a wee wander round the Christmas market. Didn't buy anything but saw a few things which would be good as presents. We plan to go another time for them and treat ourselves to a mulled cider while there
I gave my car a wash, deep cleaned the bathroom and made 4 Christmas cards. We had roast chicken so I've popped the bones into the slow cooker to make stock. I also did all the ironing while we watched a film this afternoon so all in all a productive dayMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Oops haven't posted for a few days.
Got paid yesterday - £1541.79
- £950 usual bills
- £150 car
- £250 food/cleaning
- £100 petrol
- £35 SSSC membership
- £16 eyebrows
- £40.79 debt repayment
I've budgeted more for food this month as we continually spend more and will buy a few extra treats over the festive period. I've also budgeted more for petrol as we're away down to Edinburgh and Glasgow in December (2 separate trips).Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

. Hoping that I'll manage to pay it all off next year.
Bought some Christmas presents today - £22.75 spent plus some stamps. We're off to Edinburgh tomorrow for a night which I'm really excited about as last time we were away, I was still recovering from surgery and couldn't really do much. The time before that was just as I was starting to get ill so we just stayed in the hotel, I couldn't even face leaving the room to get food so OH went out to get a chippy for himself. So super looking forward to a night away where I actually feel well and we can go out for a yummy dinner :j. Also looking forward to going to the Christmas market.
Today I bought some Christmas presents and stamps. We're meeting some friends on Wednesday so have wrapped up their presents to take with us.
£2 bank account reward went in today so that's been paid to the debt. I go back to work full time on Monday so once I see how I get on with it, I'll hopefully be able to pick up some shifts with 2nd job and get rid of this debt quicker!

Had a lovely night away in Edinburgh - wandered round the Christmas market, did some Christmas shopping and went out for tea yesterday then had brunch, had a nice long walk and saw some friends today. Spent £70.80 on food/drink but all budgeted for out of holiday savings plus £99.65 on Christmas presents and £35.12 on petrol. Have a few more bits to get present wise but heading into town tomorrow so will hopefully get most of it then.
Best get off to bed, have an early appointment with the stoma nurse tomorrow.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Yeah we really enjoyed it, had a good wander round all the stalls and got a yummy hot chocolate. In previous years, we've gone at a weekend and it's been absolutely mobbed so it was nice to go mid week.
Hospital appointment went well today, really happy with progress and I don't have to go back to see her unless I start having any issues. Just waiting for the follow up appointment with the surgeon now but the nurse said that could take months!
Went to see Frozen 2 this afternoon with a friend and then did some more Christmas shopping. Pretty much done now, just need to get my dad something (waiting to hear back from my brother about ideas) and get biscuits/chocs for the staff/service users at work.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
