Thanks monz, it seems like such a small thing but it makes me feel 'normal' again :D

Spendy day today - £9.65 on lunch out with OH (we went a walk along the old railway line and decided to go for lunch in a cafe nearby, shared a panini :)), £27.13 on the food shop, £5 on a reed diffuser for the bathroom and £30 on petrol.

Got another shift tomorrow and that will be me done for the week. No plans for Friday except painting the hallway and then at the weekend, we're going to visit OH's family.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.98
  • Not a small thing at all. Its something that makes you feel good :-)

Way back, over 40 years ago now, I had our first daughter. I'd spent the last 6 months looking like Humpty Dumpty felt like a blimp and was determined to come out of hospital in jeans.
I had to lie flat on the bed to pull the zip up and bending wasn't on the menu . . but I did it!

Felt great, so I understand in a small way how good it is to do something 'normal' when everything has been out of synch for a while.

    Thanks Boodedoo :D

NSD yesterday :). Good day at work but got finished much later than expected so didn't get out a walk.

This morning, we're going to walk into town to deliver a letter to my head office and buy a wee gift for OH's nephew's birthday. Then painting this afternoon.

Had a good weekend away with OH's family :). Didn't spend too much thankfully as really skint so need to try and spend as little as possible for the rest of the month. Don't want to have to dip into savings. NSD today except for some stuff for work but I'll get the money back from petty cash tomorrow.

Small food shop today of £5.35. Need to go a proper shop tomorrow as there's nothing in the fridge apart from milk, cheese, a couple of tatties and an onion. Also spent £19.66 on petrol and bought a big issue.
