I know  but with a bit of shopping around, I've got it for £252.90 :T:T
Payday yesterday - £1542.01
- £950 usual bills (have managed to cancel/haggle the price of some bills)
- £150 car
- £200 food
- £52.01 debt
- £70 petrol
- £50 presents (dad and a friend's birthday)
- £20 car fund

- £16 eyebrows (a wee payday treat)
- £24 social
Even after paying for the car insurance, there is still £87.10 in the car fund which will cover the £50 needed next month for my parking permit :T. Then the service is due in April and car tax in May so will start saving towards those next.
Had my occupational health appointment yesterday and a GP appointment this morning so I have been deemed fit to return to work :T. I'll go back on a phased return starting on Monday.
Plan for today is discuss a meal plan with OH/go shopping and I'm meeting a friend for coffee and cake this afternoon.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Spends for yesterday were £4.75 on my coffee and cake plus a whopping £68.73 at the supermarket. It included getting toilet roll/washing tabs/cleaning products plus stocking up on pasta/rice/tinned stuff so hoping that will do us a while with a few top up shops for fresh stuff.
Plan for today is to watch rugby and then head into town this afternoon. OH wants to get a couple of things and I'm getting my eyebrows done. Just had croissants with bacon for breakfastMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

A very spendy day was had on Friday - £16 on my eyebrows, £22.46 on householdly stuff including a bathroom bin, measuring jug, toilet brush, light bulbs, baking trays and a scented candle and £79.99 on a watch for OH's Christmas.
I put money away every month into a credit union savings account which is specifically for Christmas presents. I'll phone/go in on Monday to withdraw some money from it.
Yesterday was a NSD. Although it was a miserable day, I went out a wee walk. Same again today but hoping to drag out OH for a walk later.

First day back at work today, was a bit nervous but it went well. NSD today as haven't done much else other than a walk after work.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Thanks Lemon Tree
2nd day also went well and it's been a NSD. We went to the local firework display this evening and really enjoyed it.
OH sold a guitar on fb for £30 and has given it to me to put into the holiday fund for when we go to Edinburgh next month. I also cashed out £5.55 from PA so paid 55p to the credit card and put £5 into the holiday fund.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Loving reading that your recovery has gone well and you sound so upbeat about life.
and 55p to the credit card is 55p nearer to your end goal, the little bits all add up and before you know it you'll be 'saving' those little bits!
Take good care of yourself Misstara :-)0 -
Thanks Boodedoo
Last few days have been spendy ones - £42.88 on food shopping, £7.65 on coffee out, £11.73 on vitamins, £26.50 on a new kettle, toaster and oven gloves and £6 on some stocking fillers for OH.
Really need to get the food shops under control, so far this month we've spent £122.86 and it's only the 8th  that does include some cleaning stuff, toilet roll, etc but it's still a lot higher than I would want it to be.
I've now set up a subscribe and save order through @mazon for my vitamins as they are quite expensive and would be £14 a month if I got them from B00ts, now £8.23 a month which is not as bad. Got some vitamins for OH from @sda but they were £3.50 for a 3 month supply
Our kettle had been leaking from the base so thought it was best to get a new one. Decided to get the matching toaster while there, only £12 each. Had to also get oven gloves as I left the last pair on top of the cooker when it was still hot  oops!
I've already done my 20 hours work for this week so off today and the weekend. Plan for today is to go a walk somewhere and do some baking. Tomorrow I'm helping a friend measure up her new flat for carpets and Sunday I'm meeting some friends for coffee.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Nothing really to report from today except I'm finally back into my jeans :T. Since the surgery, I've been mostly wearing loose trousers/leggings. I'd put on my fave jeans a few times but they didn't feel very comfortable. Well I wore them to work today and felt fine all day
