Got back today from spending the weekend with my dad. Spent £63.19 on petrol (still have a half tank left), £18 on parking and boat tickets and £2.30 on a cup of coffee. Had a really lovely weekend, it was just what I needed
. Feel happier and more motivated.
I got paid £41.84 from 2nd job on Friday so £1.84 to the debt and £40 towards weekend away. Will cover the rest of the money spent at the weekend on Friday when I next get paid from 2nd job.
Had to pay electricity/gas bill - £299.12 :mad: which has totally wiped out the electricity bill fund, emergency fund and most of the holiday fundI've swapped energy suppliers and gone onto direct debit which will be around £55 a month.
In the past few days I've paid £4.84 to the debt so £13.36/£55.27, 88.2% paidMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Pleased you had a nice break and spent time with family.
Hopefully the utility d/d will help to smooth things out and help the budgetting.
I've wondered why you you still had a 'pay the bill at the end of the quarter' type account, but assumed that it was something that you would deal with when circumstances permitted.
and SO excited for you, 90% paid is within spitting distance!
(though I am trying to pretend that I am way too ladylike to spit!)0 -
Thanks Boodedoo. Had that type of account for no particular reason other than I preferred to have the money in my own bank account than sitting at the energy company, however, it wasn't working as I never seemed to save enough to cover the bill
hopefully this will be better.
90% is very very close :T and I'm less than £5 away from being under £1000 on credit cards. I've paid £1 this morning so £14.36/£55.27, 88.2% paid.
I do need to really concentrate on building up the car, emergency and holiday funds to ensure that I don't end up having to use the credit card later on in the year.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Yesterday I paid for entry to a 10k obstacle race later on this year, it's with the girls from work and should be really good fun but I have no money for such things so it went on the 'car' credit card
. Cost £60.32  so will aim to pay this back as soon as possible. Yesterday I also spent £5.92 on some food shopping and £7.02 on toiletries.
Today I got paid £39.99 from 2nd job

I've decided to see if I can pick up another wee shift this week so I'll phone 2nd job today.
