Comments
-
1. IF I NOTICE SOME SMALL TASK NEEDS DOING - I WILL DO IT IMMEDIATELY
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I WENT IN - WITHOUT HIDING THE CLUTTER EXCEPT for the wardrobe room which is currently the storage room (sr)
3. THE LAST WASHING UP OF THE DAY WILL BE PUT AWAY BEFORE I GO TO BED
Uncluttered_unicorn & tboo - well done on keeping up the momentum :T
IrishRose, I am mightily impressed re your success with the challenge :T & I love that you have become addicted to decluttering :rotfl:
edwink, Thursday was so hot that it defeated not only my iPad but also me :rotfl: I had to keep going indoors for at least 20 mins at a time :rotfl: I felt really sorry for my plumberhe had come to do the annual boiler service including up into the loft :rotfl: & I asked him to fit the new bathroom & cloakroom taps (in lieu of the refurbishment of both rooms later in the year ) Poor soul - it took him 2 hours as apparently Goliath had tightened all the original fittings:rotfl: He even had to shop for some new bits as non standard fittings had been used when the house was built. So no decluttering apart from the contents of my purse  I did keep him supplied with cold drinks though :rotfl: When he left he advised me that he was going home for a shower & then he was going to sit in front of his fan in his undies  tmi :rotfl:
DH went out yesterday - new tyres on the motorbike & then Round Britain Rallying - he even SAW some rain & a rainbow :rotfl: Today He has done a bit of gardening & repaired the foot rest on his motorbike.
DSis fed the birds & cleaned & filled the water bowls & then moaned all day about the heat in between having cold showers:rotfl: Today she had to return to Drs for another blood test as not enough taken last time. Now she is watching TV, sleeping & trying to stay cool but I am back in the garden :rotfl:
I have been pottering & managed to break my D*ysonDH has dismantled & ordered new part - more decluttering of cash but a lot less expensive than a new vacuum :T Fortunately I have a 2nd vacuum so managed to finish the hoovering :rotfl:
No decluttering projects but in keeping with my three mantras - Over the last three days I have - aired & made bed x 3; washed up, dried up & put away as I went along including the last lot of washing up x 3:rotfl:; washed down kitchen work surfaces x 3; indoor bins & shredder emptied x 3; filled bird & squirrel water bowls x 6; deadheaded & watered my plants incl. living lettuce x 6; soaked the towel covering the wormery x 9; swept kitchen floor x 3; vacuumed downstairs & kitchen floor; mopped kitchen floor; refilled sugar bowl x 2 & jar & refilled coffee & tea bags jars; tightened loo flush handle; general tidying;
The day to day decluttering has generated

Hi edwink, yes I am a chief list maker. My brain often takes a holiday and I forget sometimes important stuff. I used to claim baby brain but the youngest is now 19.:rotfl: Then it was chemo brain, but that was two years ago. I could claim old age but to be honest I have always had a poor memory.
Now colour coding is taking list making to a whole new level MRs Salad Dodger. I am not sure I could find the pens for that either.
Welcome Irish Rose12. I have found this forum to be super friendly and feel right at home. I am a bit of an intermittent poster here but this is my favourite thread.
So things are going well in the bbb househiold. I now have at least six bags of books to go. I have just added the reading group offering we discussed tonight and it's partner will go too as I didn't enjoy it.
We have got though mountains of washing thanks to Son No2 bringing in all those clothes into the house.
In the last week we have cleared all the patio plant pots to make space for th building work. Most of them were sad anyway so I am pleased to get them sorted.:T
I have cleared a whole bookshelf and the piled up sideboard over the last few nights. They are both in the dining room and will be part of our temporary kitchen when the remodel gets started. :T
Another storage unit is to be cleared over the weekend which will then be laid atop the sideboard for food and plates etc. I have already packed away the ornaments on it away. These shelves are stacked with phot albums and boes full of pictures we never look at. Most will be going I think.
The house is in a state of upheaval right now but it will be sorted soon, it has to be.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Just lost a post.
980-985 bottles of nearly empty suntan lotion bottles some were a few years old. All thrown away.
986-987 some paperwork shredded.
988 another pair of underpants.
989 a body wash sample used up.
We are now in holiday but have loads of samples of toiletries to use up and intend to donate some books and magazines and not take them home so more will be added.

I hope you don't mind me joining in. I have been slowly decluttering, have been sending some charity items and some of DD/DN beanies from years ago to a charity branch we support.
I have had the aim of this year that more stuff is going to leave the house than come into the house but never thought to make a target. So my target to Christmas will be 500 bits/pieces/items. Really need to do aswell as slowly decorating the house and have been sorting bits out. Just wish I had started before the 2 boxes of items went to the charity branch for tombolas......i would have been off to a flying start!!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
