Good work on the garden, Saver-upper
Mrs SD - I hope you have a great trip, time you had a rest. My DH and I also used to make these trips before we were 3, in fact, he is out on the bike right now (beautiful day here on the West coast).
Well done everyone, on keeping the numbers going - I'm getting distracted by the World Cup:footie::footie:.
(Oh, and outdoors totals = 3 refuse bag-fulls, 42 carrier bag=fulls and 16 glass bottles. It's actually getting harder to fill a bag, people must be getting into better binning habits :T )0 -
Saverupper keeping grass cut fairly short tends to improve its quality and helps to get rid of thistle and nettles. I've found out from experience.
837-838 two sachets of body lotion.
839 a small bottle recycled.
840 broken hair band
That's all for now.0 -
Haven't posted or been counting since March, but have continued decluttering and the paperwork mountain has at last become a hill. Next stop mole hill
.
Back to counting now to keep up momentum.
Today's count - 2 x magazine articles read and into recycling
3 x cookery books to charity book shop

I lost count of my bags (I only count extra things going out, not normal waste or recycling) as for various reasons I wasn't at home much, (emergency petsitting, and a short holiday).
Now I'm hoping to move on with this project, I might try one of the 30 day blitzes, (getting rid of something every day for a month). There will probably be a weekend visiting family during that time, but I'll try to stockpile!
I have also been asked about helping with cat-sitting for a friend who does it when her daughter and family are away, one cat involved needing extra care because of extreme age. They need someone to sleep there, and the mother does not like the bed much following a hip replacement. I think this might be a good chance for me to do some decorating in my house, and then be able to sleep elsewhere in a house not smelling of paint.
In order to decorate easily, I do need to get rid of a lot more stuff. Does anyone else open drawers, etc. and wonder why they kept the stuff inside? Originally kept it, I mean, I can see that things which were needed for a while end up just hanging around, but I seem to have things which should never have even been brought home. At least, when I find them, there is no emotional wrench in letting go.0 -

This made me laugh, marmiterulesok :rotfl:.You just sound so surprised at yourself :rotfl::rotfl:
I had the morning off and spent it tidying/washing.Not alot of decluttering (I did have ideas of a trip to the tip,but decided time was better spent tidying up,since I didn;t have a chance to do it on the weekend).
Only a couple of items out of the house:
1061:stable table (lap table). The foam balls have been leaking out of it for years.Got sick of re-patching it up with tape,so binned the lot.It won't be replaced
And from the loft:
65:small plastic toy car, found in a bag of school books from about 2011
(I can't remember if I mentioned a couple of weekends ago, that I have kept all my kids' school books in the loft (Nursery to Yr 6,mostly). I gathered them all up,sorting into chronological order/child,and labelled and boxed them up nicely. But then after returning them all to the loft, boxes stacked ontop of each other,I found a few loose books still lying around the lounge room floor .So when I am motivated/have the time,I need to label them up and file them with the rest.)SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Plus another 47 pairs of knickers!!!
= 259 items so far.
I must explain that I've never had a stable weight as an adult and have decided to declutter my 'thin days' knickers as I will never be tiny again...
It's good to move forward in this way. :rotfl:0 -
marmiterulesok you have given us a good laugh today! You must have multiple knicker drawers.0
