Only 1 wasp yesterday but found 6 dusty wasps today-in fairness they were found in the living room I am attempting to clear out and suddenly appeared all on the windowsill which I haven't been able to get to......well that's my excuse anyway:D!!!

WBF I was probably thinking of those tennis ball machines....its one of my DD main sports so I'm surprised I haven't got that many in my house tbh:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm forever finding tennis rackets:eek:

*314 eBay parcel-some craft stamps sold, only for peanuts but better that someone make use of
them rather than just being stuck in a drawer
    *315 packaging for the above
*316 the leftovers of DD coffee syrup which had stuck everything around it apart from the cats
to the kitchen counter-bottle into the recycling.
    *317 scrap papers-into recycling

I haven't decluttered massively over the weekend but have been making a conscious effort to put things away in the spaces made from decluttering in the first place. Things are definitely beginning to look tidier. Long way to go yet but I'm getting there

Not much else done, still sorting out and putting away......it is nice to have space to do this I have to admit

It all adds up though. :j:j
  • 1. IF I NOTICE SOME SMALL TASK NEEDS DOING - I WILL DO IT IMMEDIATELY

    2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I WENT IN - WITHOUT HIDING THE CLUTTER EXCEPT for the wardrobe room which is currently the storage room (sr)

    3. THE LAST WASHING UP OF THE DAY WILL BE PUT AWAY BEFORE I GO TO BED

My motivation to declutter/clean/tidy departed Thursday night after DH got home :( & has yet to put in an appearance :(:( No cooking on Friday or Saturday - Chinese food delivered which was enough for Friday & Saturday night’s dinners & DSis had enough spare ribs left for Sunday’s & Monday’s lunches :money:
Sunday night we had oven baked sausages & tomatoes, with fried lo new potatoes sliced, last of the mushrooms, last of the bacon, fried onions, last of the potatoes in the larder mashed & DH & I had a fried egg on top :D It was absolutely scrumptious & I was very happy to have used up all my los & created space in my fridge :T Monday night I created space in my freezer :T - last of the breaded cod for DSis, haddock fish cakes for DH & I with oven chips & frozen peas. Plain & simple but delicious nonetheless
All I have done since Thursday night is :- knit a baby blanket, put in DH’s eye drops 4 times a day, affix his eye patch before bed & shopping yesterday. At the moment I cannot summon up the enthusiasm to do anything (apart from my daily tasks) but I am hoping that if I can get back into ‘posting’ properly & reading ‘threads’ daily, my enthusiasm will return from its vacation :rotfl:

Re my three mantras: aired & made bed x 4; washed up x 4; worktops washed down x 4; filled sugar bowl x 4; filled coffee & tea bag jars; watered plants x 3; general tidying

Before I do my numbers, I will write my customary comments :rotfl:

villagelife, glad you are feeling better & I hope your back is fully rested. :T on keeping the numbers moving :T

pixielottie, music if I am having a session in the kitchen & TV If I am sorting paperwork or knitting :D. Re the chocolates - open then look & sniff, if OK a little nibble for the taste test. If after all that, then have at it :rotfl: maybe use them as a reward after a bout of decluttering :rotfl:
Re the phone boxes, may I suggest :o - ONLY keep them for a specific amount of time, say a week, then if you have NOT filled them, dispose of them one at a time. But as I say only a suggestion :rotfl: Well done on the Drawer decluttering :T paperwork seems to catch us all out - it definitely breeds :rotfl:

Wanna Bee Free, DH is definitely on the mend & very slowly his eyesight is returning - I know this because he is bored sorting his office & started a project today. I have a staved wooden planter which he has taken apart & he has started doing the prep work for making it weather proof & presentable & ready to receive its silver birch. He has been very good & only worked for an hour. By the way, you have nothing to forgive yourself for :rotfl: after all you were planning your next project ;)

marmiterules, you have been busy :T did all that shredding generate lots of space? I hope so - a just reward :T

Happy Kitties, what a great feeling that must be - a reward for decluttering to be able to put things away :T & you are still moving things out as well as putting things away, so much nicer than shoving things into a space that isn’t really there :rotfl: It gives me hope that one day I will be clutter free enough to start the prep work for decorating :T Unfortunately now that the autumnal/wintry days are upon us - the bathroom & cloakroom renovations are put back until 2019 - they can be a 60th :(:( birthday present to myself :rotfl::rotfl:

:T Yippee :rotfl: my motivation to do anything at all returned today :rotfl: after only a few days absence :T

Woke up at 8:30 due to call of nature & actually got up & at ‘em straight away - rather than my usual ‘I will just have another half hour & waking up 3 hours later :rotfl::o

Today, in no particular order, I have stripped the bed of it’s summer bedding (which has been washed, dried, folded & put away in the airing cupboard :T. Rotated the mattress on my own (usually DH helps but because of the poorly eye & the mattress being so heavy I let him off :D - it only took me twice as long :rotfl:) :D - it is a Tempur - so no turning over :T. Aired the bed, then remade using the winter bedding - flannelette :T but left the summer duvet on as not yet cold enough for the winter duvet :T
Painted wood preserver on the lower shelf of my table garden bed - only taken a month:o & then planted my 12 heathers in the garden bed - they were a bit dry so I obviously wasn’t watering them properly
Embroidered initials on the baby blanket - which has now been washed & dried & a box sourced to post it.
Three loads of washing done & mostly dried on whirligig - as the threatened rain never materialised :T Finished off in td. Need to do any repairs, fold & put away - will do that after finishing this post :D
    Vacuumed sofas & kitchen floor.
Transferred next door’s grass clippings from 5 recycling bags to our 2 green waste bags :D

  • Morning Mrs SD,

It’s great your mojo is back!

Just one book for me yesterday, but wasn’t feeling great yesterday. I’m building up to getting two pieces of furniture out of our second bedroom we use as a study. A half height Billy bookcase and one of two desk pedestals given to me ages ago as a pair when the matching desk they went with died. I’ve almost got them both empty and clear, apart from e*ay packaging and the last homeless bits. Need to wait till OH is back from his work trip as need his agreement too. He knows I want to, but insists the last of the stuff needs a new home first. Fair enough, so that’s my mission!

  • It all adds up though. :j:j
That is so true! I am amazed at the differences I am seeing.

    Updates on my total
    * 319 last of wasp spray used-now in recycling. The wasps did not like getting blasted yesterday. Window shut quickly but collected up 12 dead wasps yesterday. Ran a check around this morning bec of the cats and no wasps to be had. I think now it's getting colder I will start to see the last of them.......i hope!:D

*320-326 charity itemsx6 sent off this morning. Have more items to send but ran out of room in the parcel. These items going will make room.....can get at my plates again:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

*327 packaging for the above and found my downstairs new shade I had been looking for when nabbing the box, happy days:T

Mrs SD good to hear that u have it mojo back but after all the cleaning u did and the worry u had with OH which is draining in itself.......i just think it nipped off for a mini break!!

40/52 - used up packaging for a present. Not much, but it is something
  • That is so true! I am amazed at the differences I am seeing.

Slow and steady wins the race. :)
  • I'm still decluttering though the amounts don't seem worth mentioning...

I was at the dump yesterday with some plastic flower pots and a wooden box.

I've got some clothes and some picture frames for the cs. Plus two pairs of shoes.

I haven't done any more paper shredding for the time being.I'll probably do more this weekend.

    Happy decluttering everyone!
