Well done MrsSD on the cs van arriving.
1024-1025 thrown out a pair of insoles which don't fit the shoes.
1026-1027 about 10 business cards shredded
1028 a few RAC breakdown cards thrown. No longer with them.
1029-1043 magazines and catalogues either recycled or DH taken to work.
1044 hat thrown away.
1045-1046 paperwork both DH and MIL shredded.
Hopefully will be able to post again later0 -
Great news on the CS items going Mrs SD I would have been really celebrating. Just a shame about your meal out
saver-upper that is a far whack of uniform. I kept a couple of bits of DD with the aim of selling on fb but I know I never will. When i get round to finding them they will be going to the CS.
Well the above puts my very small amount to shame
*225 the last of the beanie tags used and gone. I never ever though I would get rid of them but that's it they've all gone.
Found more towels that were for the animal charity but had to be used when the kitchen decided to spring a leak. As they are being washed and dried will pass them on the the charity and add the items to my total.
*226 old quilt now in the bin. DD had bought me a new one last Christmas and I've tried to make it last before using the new one but the time came today to say goodbye to the old quilt.
That's it from me so farDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1. IF I NOTICE SOME SMALL TASK NEEDS DOING - I WILL DO IT IMMEDIATELY
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I WENT IN - WITHOUT HIDING THE CLUTTER EXCEPT for the wardrobe room which is currently the storage room (sr)
3. THE LAST WASHING UP OF THE DAY WILL BE PUT AWAY BEFORE I GO TO BED
Thanks for that edwink :T Sorry I missed it yesterday & I did get your pm :T - first pm other than MSE ones :T
Well done villagelife - keeping up the momentum :T & even speeding up
bit by bit, good job you had set everything in motion as it is a bit unusual for builders to bring work forwardBut having said that the earlier they start the earlier they will finish:D Mastering the art of husband persuading is an ongoing project :rotfl: Even with the turmoil of building works you are still decluttering - I am in awe :T I would probably just take to my bed until it was all done :rotfl:
Saver-upper, how very serendipitous :rotfl: I have always wanted to use that word :rotfl:
marmiterulesok, keep up the good workand I like it that you can persuade others to assist :T
Happy Kitties, Every Little Bit HelpsThe actual numbers do not matter too much, just the fact that stuff is leaving your home
Heavy rain on & off all day, with some thunder & lightning thrown in, a strong breeze & getting colder
Still sooo happy that the CS van turned up yesterday :rotfl: only took two months
None of us have done too much today - obviously using the weather as an excuse :rotfl: DH has put several items in the loft (which I will list below) after watching this week’s first practice rounds of the motorcycling GPs. DSis & I went shopping - fresh ingredients re the menu plan for me & snacks etc for DSis.
Then two hours cooking  but well worth it - a Ha*ry Bik*ers recipe - Somerset chicken with boiled potatoes & lots of roasted vegetables. Although it takes an age to make & is not the healthiest meal in the world :rotfl: my DH & I love itand now my DSis is a convert :rotfl: It is absolutely delicious  Fortunately I made enough so we have tomorrow night’s dinner as well - just need to boil some potatoes & roast some veg.
A bit light on my three mantras - aired & made bed; filled sugar bowl & jar; bit of shredding; washing up done as & when; worktops washed down; general tidying
The loft visit & day to day decluttering have generated
C356 - C360 Three single duvets & a bedspread bagged up + a small box of stuff put in loft until DSis decides what to do with them:o
C361 - C368 Non recyclable - 5 plastic bags, piece of plastic packaging, plastic tray & packaging, plastic pot & lid
C369 - C371 Tin, milk carton, glass cider bottle (cider was an ingredient in the recipe:rotfl:) - Rinsed & recycled
C372 - C376 Newspaper, paper packaging, cardboard packaging, junk mail, booklet - Recycled
C377 - C379 Three unopened jigsaw puzzles in CS bag (found in one of the boxes in the spare room :T)
So, notwithstanding the weather, I am happy with today’s progress& the fact that I have no real cooking to do tomorrow has brought a smile to my face:D
The next thing on my agenda is a comprehensive ‘To Do’ list including things like baking weekly, cleaning the insides of all my windows, creating a space for the engineer to get access to the phone socket, sorting contents of boxes etc etc ad infinitum :rotfl:
May your decluttering mojo be strong :rotfl:

marmiterules, just for you :A
Rootle, villagelife & marmiterules - pants & knickers seem to be the order of the weekend :rotfl:
The entire weekend was a washout - rain, rain & more rain with low temperatures - I think Autumn has arrived
None of us have done much over the weekend - obviously still using the weather as an excuse :rotfl: DH has scarified half the front lawn 4 days on the trot - his experiment to see if scarifying is useful :rotfl: DSis has been clearing down her programmes & tidying her room & I have been mostly pottering, baking & cooking
Over the weekend - my three mantras - aired & made bed x 2; filled sugar bowl & teabags & coffee jars; toilet flush handle tightened; washing up done as & when; worktops washed down; vacuumed downstairs including kitchen floor; general tidying
The day to day decluttering has generated
C380 - C385 Non recyclable - 4 plastic bags, Bag of stuff from DSis, plastic tray & packaging - Binned
C386 - C390 Two tins, two milk cartons, plastic bottle - Rinsed & recycled
C391 - C398 Newspaper, 3 lots of cardboard packaging, Toilet roll tube, large egg box, 2 magazines - Recycled
Sunday I cooked a large fish pie which we had with spinach - enough left for Monday night’s dinner which we will have with roasted frozen vegetables.
Have written the next week’s menu plan
I have started my comprehensive ‘To Do’ list including things like baking weekly, cleaning the insides of all my windows, creating a space for the engineer to get access to the phone socket, sorting contents of boxes etc etc ad infinitum :rotfl:
