Yesterday was spent mainly washing, ironing and packing stuff for ds to take to his Dads. I did experiment for dinner and copied something I'd seen on facebook - a meatball wellington ... so basically it was a sheet of puff pastry, put slices of mozzarella in a ring then add beef mince (mixed with herbs, breadcrumbs, parmesan, seasoning and an egg), then another layer of mozzarella slices and topped with more pastry and covered in egg wash. Oh wow, it was amazing :D Ds loved it and it was so easy - I get really bored of spaghetti bolognese so this is another nice easy meal using minced beef :)

This morning we got up super early as the Flying Scotsman was going back again, so we drove to a spot in the forest where you can see the trains go around a large curve. Luckily for us not many people seem to know about it so there were only 2 others there. It was a nice walk with the dog too, and on the way there we had to wait for a herd of deer to cross the road, then there were 5 donkeys stood in the road, on the way back we saw 4 Shetland ponies and a herd of brown fluffy cows, was lovely :D

Ds has now gone to his Dads for a week, I am doing an open house for my cards today - basically I get to chill out all day, I've set up my displays and if people want to pop in for a coffee and have a look they're more than welcome! If no-one comes that's fine too, I get to chill in the conservatory without feeling guilty in the meantime :D;)

I will use the time to mooch about on here, plan some bits for the week ahead and catch up on some surveys. I have done my swagbucks goal for today already so that's one thing ticked off :)

A rubbish nights sleep last night, no idea why, anyway, up early this morning and off to Tesco - I have decided enough is enough and I'm back to eating properly again and trying to shift some weight. I'm hoping this week will be a good one to start this as ds is away so I'm just cooking for me. Lots of salad and veg bought, some salmon and chicken and literally nothing processed other than some Nimble bread. Now I need to stick to it :rotfl:

There are various reasons for this, apart from the obvious one of me resembling a hippopotamus at the moment. I suffer really badly with heartburn, have done ever since I was pregnant with ds. There is rarely a day goes by that I don't take Rennie, in fact there are only 4 things i take with me wherever I go; my phone, my keys, my bankcard and some Rennie :o I think (self-diagnosis via Google :o) I suffer with IBS or other digestive related stuff - I am sick at least once or twice a week, I don't tend to feel sick but I'll either get really bad heartburn or my saliva glands 'get stuck' and go mental and then I end up being sick. It's all a bit odd, I've become used to it and haven't been to the GP as I know its related to the amount of processed junk I eat.

A few years ago I lost 2 stone and was running regularly, I ate really healthily and the heartburn stuff all disappeared. I don't see the need to involve a gp and get medication for something I should be sorting myself. So, here we go again ;)

Last time I was really good but then my job changed and meant working til 4, (was 3), and a lot more stress. Around about the same time ds becase a lot more stressful to manage too.

My reckoning is that (a) I need to do this now before I get any bigger, (b) hardly any clothes fit me, I can't afford to buy more and I have tonnes in smaller sizes that are perfectly good, I jsut need to be able to fit in them, (c) this is more about my health than anything else, (d) I'm sick of huffing and puffing when I go up the stairs, (e) ds has made it through school now, that stress is now gone (although there are plenty of others).

I weighed myself this morning and I want to lose 23.5lbs. I'm not setting a date this has to be done by but am aiming for 9.5lbs by half-term (end of May), then another 7lbs by the start of the summer holidays (mid July) then another 7lbs by back to school (September).

I have turned the house upside down this morning looking for my Fitbit - so much for Marie Kondo  I still can't find it, I'm wondering if its in my desk drawer at work. This is annoying as I wanted to get my 10k steps in each day too.

I am also trying to lose weight Ben Ben. I am trying to do weight watchers on line and have joined the ww thread on here for motivation. I also got a fitbit back in Jan for my birthday, but it gives me a false sense of security as on a work day (I have a physical job) I easily do between 15-20k and on the weekend I relax and do around 3k!!!

Good luck with the weight loss. If it doesn't get rid of the heartburn it would be worth a trip to the GP, there are different types of heartburn medication and one may suit you better.
