Thanks Drawingaline, I will be using MyFitnessPal -worked for me last time so will try again. I found the fitbit too - it was in with my socks, no idea how it got there but am pleased nonetheless. It's almost finished charging now so will try and get some steps in before the footie this afternoon, then will take the dog for a nice long walk tonight to get the rest inMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

In the meantime, re heartburn, do you drink a lot of tea? That can make it worse but also, Zantac aka Ranatadine is much better at dealing with it, in my experience. 79p @ Home Bargains. When you are weighing less and eating different things it'll probably improve. Good luck.0

That's interesting Gran, I used to drink mainly coffee but over the last year or so I've switched to tea. Definitely something for me to keep an eye on.
So far today I've had 2 x egg on toast for breakfast, then a salad with prawns and butternut squash for lunch. Stir-fry for dinner tonight. According to MFP I have 1290 calories a day, I still have 778 left today so that will be my stir-fry, yoghurt and raspberries for pud and maybe a few mint imperials later (my complete weakness).
Time for the footie then a nice walk later with the dog, might do some job spotting while we're out, may as well earn some pennies while I'm getting my steps inMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

First load of washing is flapping on the line, and I have spent this morning gutting ds bedroom. The dustballs in there were a positive health hazard   One binliner of rubbish, 4 cups and a spoon and a mountain of washing later and it is all clean and sparkly again, just needs the bed remaking when its dry and ironed.
I'm pleased to have got that job out the way, it actually wasn't as time-consuming as I thought it would be. So, the rest of today is looking like this:
A nice walk later to get some steps in, I've just put a chicken in the oven to have with salad for lunch and with stir-fry for dinner. Maybe a bit of footie watching later, other than that it will be spent pottering and crossing a few house jobs off my list. I might also have a mid-month look at the finances and see if I'm vaguely on track this month.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I had the same issues for years, went gluten free nearly 2 years ago now and lost 3stone and only very occasionally need an indigestion tablet (mainly after tomato based sauces which I steer clear off as much as possible)."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

My rules are to stick to my calorie limit (1290 a day), do 10,000 steps a day and try to avoid processed food where possible. Once some weight has shifted and I feel a bit fitter from walking I will start C25K again, that was what got me into running before and I loved it. I didn't at the time as it felt like hard work, but I felt so much better mentally when I'd been for a run. I have stuck a big picture of our cruise ship on the fridge to keep me on the straight and narrow
Just back from a walk with the dog - we went from here and wandered down the beach. It was quite breezy down there but sunny and bright, lots of people walking their dogs and a few hardy souls paddling
