So despite having the best of intentions of getting on with some jobs today I found myself sat on the sofa watching Homes Under The Hammer, struggling to do anything other than surf online. So I made myself put my shoes on and the dog and I went for a walk in the forest. It was ridiculously blowy up there today so we didn't go that far, but it was enough to blow the cobwebs away and get me doing something again.
After that I popped into Sainsburys and got a few veg and salad bits, home again now and I've pegged out the second load of washing 0 the basket is finally empty :j :j
This afternoon I'm planning on pottering around indoors and in the garden, getting a few bits and pieces crossed off my to do list.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

So today is day four of the losing weight project - all good so far, I've stuck to my calories and done my 10k steps each day. Interestingly I haven't had heartburn at all :T :T
I do also suffer with restless legs in the evenings and haven't done for the last few days, but I have woken up in the night the last 2 nights with it - I need to google and see what I can do for this.
So today is finally the day the man is coming to fix the boiler, so no more wearing 4 layers :rotfl: :rotfl: I can't wait!!
Other than that I will be doing indoor stuff as he isn't sure what time he's going to be here, probably sometime after lunch. I want to try and get some of my bank accounts / savings streamlined a bit. I also need to check all my betting accounts and empty those with balances back into my bank accountMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Heating is fixed :j :j It's so nice not having to sit under a blanket with my gloves on
I haven't achieved much of the stuff that I planned today, but I have done my Swagbucks goal, stuck to my calories and am nearly at my 10k steps (I need to do a few laps of the lounge first).
£13 profit from a matched bet, I have a couple of other betting bits going on this evening (Champions League night) so hopefully there will be some extra bits to add later or tomorrowMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Yep :j That one is largely dependent on the ex's maintenance payments. I want to reach my goal for my brothers find then I'll focus on the holiday - If the worst happens I will have to raid my savings to cover it but I do still have 15 months til we go so plenty of time to find some pennies there
Tonight I have finally filled in to see if I've ever had PPI. I'm 99.9% sure I haven't but I thought I ought to check for sure. It takes a few weeks to hear back but let's see
I've also tried to switch a bank account, using the Natwest offer mentioned in last weeks MSE email. I got most of the way through the application form and the Natwest website says there is an error at their end and I need to start again. I did so and the same thing happened  It had already told me everything was fine so not credit check related. I need to phone or go to the branch instead. I need to do it as its £175 cashback for switching. I'm not switching my main current account, I have 3 current accounts - my proper one that my wages go in and then two others that I switch around to make the most of new offersMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

We tried to switch to that account today but we were told that we had to close our acc and have our salary put into the new account.0

I don't mind closing the old account but I'm not moving my salary. The t&c's don't say that but they may insist on it. No worries, I'll just wait for the next decent offer to come along insteadMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Quite a productive morning - I have put the rubbish bins out, taken a binliner of old clothes to the local Cash for Clothes place (£1.60, but at least they didn't go to the tip). Then I went to Wickes and bought 2 x 2.5l of Dulux white emulsion (bogof), then on to Asda where I got a few bits and pieces. Next on to a local retail park where I finally got a picture frame for the collage of photos I had from the cruise last year, and a few other bits in B&Q - I'd found an old £10 voucher that luckily was still in date, so that helped there
Then into Primark to stock up on some new tee's for ds. Finally I filled up with petrol and came home
I'm halfway to my steps goal already, have just had eggs on toast for a late brunch and am now ready to go for the rest of the day.
The plan is to clean the car inside and out, sort out a few betting bits, start work on the garden and maybe give the hall a lick of paint (the hall is tiny and doesn't take long at all).
