£32 gone into the holiday fund.

Today my brother is popping in for a cup of tea, other than that it will be the usual weekend routine - bathroom has already been cleaned, kitchen tidied and cleaned, hall and downstairs loo cleaned, hoovered downstairs. I need to do an online food order, then it will be a footie afternoon :)

My brother has been, was nice to see him for a bit. Bournemouth lost today, but only 1-0 and that was against City so that's pretty impressive really :)

Time now to sort out the money for the month ahead, I don't want to get in a mess this month too, I want to stay on top of it all for a change :D

Signature has been updated too, mortgage payment has gone out for this month and we're now out of the £70,000's and the mortgage total now begins with a 6 :j :j

Tesco shopping delivered, a couple of bits claimed back via checkoutsmart :money:

Banking all sorted, the place is clean and tidy - just the ironing to do, insurance quotes to compare and a roast dinner to cook.

It's my bil's birthday this week so I need to sort something out for him, I have plenty of cards and wrap to choose from though :)

Thanks Earthgirl, ds was called benben when he was little and its stuck :D

Home insurance has been sorted this afternoon, I went on a comparison site and found a quote I liked for £131. I then went on quidco, to the same company, and entered the same details and the quote was now £179  So I went directly, without quidco, and did it for the lower amount. I could've ended up with more money back if I'd gone through quidco, but it would be 6 months before the money comes through and it didn't have good reviews, so I didn't want to chance it.

Roast dinner nearly ready, then its pamper time in the bath and an early night :D

£13 spent on Amazon for a gift using vouchers, so £13 transferred from the gift fund to the savings. All makes sense to me but I probably haven't explained it very well :D

Also as I pay the council tax over 10 months it means this month I don't need to pay it, so that money goes into the savings too. Also £20 of interest from a savings account.

I had a cheeky £1 bet tonight on a footie game, and won £250 :j :j Now I need to decide what to do with it - I'm thinking I'll probably chuck it all in the holiday pot, it was totally unexpected and therefore will be a useful addition in there. I know I could treat myself to something but actually the feeling of adding to the holiday pot would probably outweigh wanting to buy anything anyway :D:D

I will also get my £1 stake back and that will be put in my brothers fund, just to round that up to a nice round number as the '99' is irritating me in my signature :rotfl:
