Today I have been Marie Kondo'ing my clothes - this is the area the book suggests to start with first. To be honest I haven't got rid of that much, (half a bin liner), but then I am fairly ruthless usually anyway, so I knew most of what I have is stuff I wear. However, due to her folding method I have managed to condense what I have into 1 chest of drawers, meaning the second one that was in the bottom of my wardrobe can go into the garage and provide useful storage out there, and also means I then have tonnes more space in my wardrobe again.
I have loads more I should be getting on with but my back is aching now as i kept bending down to get stuff. Maybe I'll have a go at cleaning and tidying some general bits downstairs instead before I crack on with the wardrobe. Very impressed with my tidy and organised drawers thoughMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Not a bad morning so far, I've been to the dentist, posted an ebay parcel, delivered a card order and bought some bread rolls for lunch. Time now for a coffee and to try and get some swagbucks for today then I might see if ds fancies stirring from his pitMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

So my room is nearly Kondo'ed - I've brought down 1 x chest of drawers, 2 x bin liners for the tip and 1 x bin liner for the car boot pile. Even though everything was away in drawers / cupboards it still feels tidier and 'lighter' in there
Ds is off to work in a minute, I might spend this afternoon finishing my room and getting all the bits taken to the tip / away in the garage so that I know it's completed. Otherwise bits tend to linger around and then might end up heading back upstairs.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Half-term is hurtling past very quickly - I have done lots of catching up and chilling though.
Money-wise it's been a funny one; I had an unexpected extra £28 from tax credits and a £12 expenses refund from work, then I had a £5 ebay sale and just when I thought it was all going well someone opened a dispute against me on ebay, saying they haven't received their item. It was posted on Jan 15th and they haven't said a word until now. Unfortunately my decluttering has included a load of proof of postages, so I have had to refund them their money (£17) and I can't claim it back from the royal mail. I'm not impressed but it's one of those things I guess
Tonight I am having a Tropic pamper party for a friend at work who sells it. I've spent the whole day cleaning the house, it's amazing how much you think you're on top of the housework until you realise people from work are coming round, then suddenly everywhere looks filthy and you go into cleaning overdrive :rotfl: I've had all the windows wide open today which has been lovely, it really feels like Spring is on the way down here nowLuckily it's now all clean and tidy, I've had a bath and am ready now, I've got about an hour before anyone arrives so I'm just going to have some time on here.

Had a really good night last night with friends here - lots of trying the products and lots of laughs. I ended up with roughly £50 to spend on products (I actually spent more than this but the £50 made a sizeable dent in it
).
Today it was lovely to come downstairs to a properly tidy house for a changeI need to sort the washing today, then start on the end of the month finances malarky that still is confusing as ever. I need to sort it properly today

I've written myself a to-do list for the weekend, I haven't stopped all morning but have only managed to cross one thing off it
Ds decided last night he wasn't going to bed and stayed up all night watching tv. He was so so tired this morning but I didn't nag - hopefully he's learned his lesson and will feel yuck all day today :rotfl: Anyway, he's gone off to his Dads, so I am trying to get my jobs done then I can sit down and enjoy my footie this afternoon
So far today I have done ds bedroom, two loads of washing, filled the dishwasher and it's done ready for emptying again, tidied the garage and taken a car load of stuff to the tip, bought petrol, cleaned the outside of the car and scrubbed the metal garage door, it almost looks white again now
While I was getting petrol an old man came in the shop bit with his dog. He reminded me of my Dad, sweet but doddery. The guy in the shop told him he couldn't bring his dog in and they didn't have anywhere to tie him up. As I was leaving he was still outside trying to find somewhere to tie him up so I offered to hold his lead while the man went in the shop. 5 minutes later he came out of the shop again looking even more lost - he couldn't find his money. He checked all his pockets and was getting quite stressed. He said it was only a couple of £1 coins but he'd need to go home again and try again later. I asked him what he needed to buy and he said "just some chocolate and the paper", so I gave him the dog back and went in and got them for him (I only had my card so couldn't give him the cash). He was so chuffed, it made my day being able to help him. I like to think someone would've helped my Dad had he been in that position.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

2 x £5 Amazon voucher redeemed from swagbucks with another voucher to cash in tomorrow (2 allowed per day).
The weather has been lovely here again today, I really don't want to go back to school tomorrow
Dinner will be ready soon (roast turkey, leftovers from xmas), then it's bath time and then I'm pretty much up to date with jobs so I can relax this evening.
