foxholes what a lovely deed.
I just started running again and am back down to barely managing 2mi without walking inbetween. Biking and swimming is ok but my running fitness drops incredibly fast after a break.
Busy night. Ragu in slow cooker, chicken pie prepared. Kitchen and bathroom cleaned, hoovered. Tried to mend the kids winter hats but they just disintegrated. So in the bin they went.
Have adjust my SFDs down as i lost one today. Forgot to buy DS new plimsoles for PE yesterday and picked up a couple of YS items including a indoor mini rosebush to cheer me up.
You've made me feel so much better. Before Christmas I was running the best I ever have and then I had that horrible flu virus and now it is so hard again, if I don't run several times a week I seem to go right back just like you but at least I know now that it's not just me:DDebt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Sorry I haven't been around much. I started a new job on the second and then came down with sickness this week so it's been a rough 11 days. It coincided with my time of the month and I suffer from Premenstrual dysphoric disorder. My symptoms have been lessened recently but they came back with a bang this week. All in all I haven't been feeling great.
Feeling more positive now and the good thing about being ill is there have been lots of NSDs.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Evening everyone!!!
Firstly...
NSK!!! How did I miss you! I think I must have been reading through in zombie-state! How are you?!?! It will be awesome to have you back next month
Today = NSD number 9
I came this close to spending today. I have a shopping list and am out of a lot of things like bread and eggs and fresh vegetables. Then I thought no. I have frozen veg in, frozen fish, bagged rice, an unopened pack of bacon expiring today. What am I thinking?!?! So... bacon and some salmon cooked. I'm going to rice and frozen veg with fish, and will make a rice/bacon/pea combo too, and have it cold. Have a few raspberries and blueberries I might even chuck in.
Today I am grateful for:- An opportunity to work extra hours
- A good work ethic (today anyway!!!)
- Annual leave!!! Starting today!

Just checking in to report progress - am up to 10/20 NSD's somehow already! :T and 9/20 healthy days. Overall budget is looking good too, although funds are a bit tight this month I don't have an awful lot of expenditure so it's alright.
Got rid of my sofa from the basement yesterday so I can tidy up down there at the weekend. There isn't loads of stuff but it needs some sort of order! Perhaps a few more bits for the charity shop while I'm at it.
Also tried kickboxing for the first time yesterday. I walked in and felt so intimidated that I almost left. I don't know how to describe it, I'm not a massively social person, I can cope with being at the gym around other people but actively exercising with them in such a close way really frightens me! Give me half a tonne of horse to push around and I'm fine but sparring with a few humans is another story altogether :rotfl: but I persisted and really enjoyed it, so will go back next week I think. Not sure I'll go on a weekly basis but it was fun.
Work has also been good, moving in a really positive direction. I really lost motivation towards the end of last year so I've forced myself to get back into it and I'm enjoying it, so I don't know what the reason for the mental block was tbh.0 -
NSD - 7/18
Did not venture out today.
Grateful for:
Chilled out day/evening.
Buddybox which I ordered from a mental health support organisation.
Small bit of exercise in the flat as I did not go out.
Did a few things in the flat and a little bit of decluttering.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130 -
NSD today so I’m at 6/18. Not sure if I’ll make it tomorrow as I’m undecided whether I should celebrate a colleagues birthday after work.
I’ll look into tablets online, if I can get them cheaper it’ll be worth it.
Not much to report today, other than I’m glad it’s Friday tomorrow! This has felt like a long tough week.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Just checking in. Haven't done much today. Bought a few things that we need for going away but apart from that nothing much. Going to get some currency tomorrow and C is taking me for lunch as I haven't really celebrated my birthday. We're going to one of our favourite places and, just by chance, I got a voucher this morning for a second main course for a £1.00. Don't feel quite so bad about going now. Do you start to feel guilty when someone is spending money on you?
EE[/B - Sorry to hear your news.
Kat] - Lovely to "meet" you. Have heard all about you and am full or admiration.
And just by chance IHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Thank you! Glad fuel is an exception!
I'll probably need to top up the tank this weekend.
Checking in earlier today, got about 5 hours sleep after work as I had to get up with DD so DH could go to work. NSD which puts me on #7.
Miserable day so me and DD have stayed in. She's had a long nap which has been awesome as I've got the first layer of white wash on her new room. Ceiling and all.
Also done laundry, drying, putting away, tidying. And had a shower and washed hair ready for work tomorrow.
Feel like it's about 10pm!
Dinner is prepped and ready for the oven, lasagne tonight!Money Saving since 2016 and determined to be debt free by 2020.0 -
E-E So sorry for your loss.
Raphael, I envy your 10k. Its something both I and DD1 want to get into - and something we are both very good at finding excuses not to.
Dolly - Railcard saves me so much, I don't know what I'd do without out it sometimes. Can you let me know where you get your loose leaf tea from. I've had a strainer for yonks but can only find artsy tea sellers.
Last few days have been as drab as the weather. Who or what ate the sun?!
Kids have been eating fruit like chocolate, so stupid me has been going out and buying more, plus missing bits for meals (shameful planning!). Firmly claimed back an NSD today though, should have done the main shop.
Declutter: Out with broken boxes, unwanted tat, and batteries to recycling.
Activity: Got a bit of walking in yesterday and made it to a Pilates class today. Enjoyed it more than gym, and it felt like a proper work out. I'll be back for more of that.
-Lost 5lb this week, I'm not actually going to a group or anything, just getting back to basics. I'll worry if next weeks drop is as big.
Reading: Yup.
Gratitudes: Discovering a class that isn't over subscribed.

Cube shelves are up (decided not to put them under the bed, they are either side). Bath emptied, had bath and washed hair. Spread empty cardboard boxes on the bed and started sorting. Did some micro- tidying, pulled the pins out of the pincushion and discarded bent and rusty ones (only spot or two) but a rusty pin can spoil a piece of material and a rusty needle will snag. Rubbish bag is filling nicely, as is the paper bag.
When I got too tired, I moved the boxes to the right half of the bed (had already totally cleared it and put a sheet on) and slept. Fever seems to have broken today (I am feeling the cold rather than boiling over) but still fragiles so got ready slowly. CBT session (on mindfulness) was quite good, did not quite fall asleep during the meditation exercise.
Was going to have a taxi home but decided to walk. Struggled with the last bit - used a broken trolley to get across little Arseda car park then shuffled the last bit. have rested and eaten and am now going to start again. It's organised enough that I can do most of it on the bed, will find 'right size' boxes and containers when I know how much each category there is (will discard at each stage).
Lots of notes/ quotes and things which I only need to jot down an address or phone number. Six bags for life emptied last night so target is more than 6 plus 2 or 3 carrier bags for the cs. May bag up food bank donation to take as well (love anything going out of the house).
Today I am grateful for a good therapy session, for the prospect of a tidy and peaceful bedroom and for enough boxes (all down to their online shopping mania). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
