  • Not long after I posted on Monday night I got a call to say that F-I-L had been taken in to hospital, he passed away early hours of Tuesday morning.

Did spend on hospital car park but will count that as medical so Tues was a NSD.

Today has been a spend day as popped to Lidl for some easy breakfast stuff for DD which she can eat in the car on the way to school. Also got myself a gorgeous lemon donut!!!

Dancing- I try to plan ahead but life often gets in the way I would definitely say learning to plan ahead is a life lesson that takes months to imbed.

  • Hi all.
Took me a while to get going today.
I put a chicken curry in the slow cooker, prepared chicken & bacon pies for tomorrow and made a soup. Then I sat around at a loss, I was feeling very tired but finally decided to go out for a run with the pup to get the blood pumping.
I think I might return the new long tights I got as they are too loose at the top so kept falling down. I turned around after a couple of minutes, changed into my old tights and went back out again.
Then it was boxing this evening. texted BF when it finished to get some rice on the go, so dinner was dished up as I got through the door.

    Janus - 12 Months target to repay Mum. £241.03 / £3000
Nothing added today, waiting on fridays wages to hit my bank so I can pop some more money in. I was supposed to be going paintballing at the end of the month, but I've declined and will add the £30 into mums fund instead.

    Activity. Crochet & keep active.
Run & Boxing today. Crochet ready to go.

    Non-negotiables:
    -[STRIKE]18[/STRIKE] 25 NSDs 9/25
Nothing spent today. Doing well :D
    -£5 to foodbank / charity

Unabashed, unambiguous, unconditional, undaunted, undivided, unerring, unshakeable devotion to your goal(s). [more on this later]
How do you approach your life?
I approach life with a positive attitude. Poop happens, it's just life. So when bad stuff does happen, I take a deep breath and move on.
I never used to be like this though, I used to dwell on every tiny little issue. Now I just think "Can it be fixed?" If it can, I fix it. If it can't, why worry about it something you can't help.

Always plan your meals; always take a shopping list; always take your lunch to work and drink + snacks when out and about; avoid all coffee shops, vending machines, work canteens... Meals planned for next week too. Pre-defrost freezer clearance is going well.

Reduce, re-use, repair, re-gift, recycle, recover, refuse! And read.

Odds & ends of veg used for soup. Last scraps of cream used for the chicken & bacon pie

You are the key to reducing your debt, living modestly, keeping as fit and well as you can. So look after yourself - physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally.
Was a little tough getting my running shoes on today, but I enjoyed it when I got out. Despite having to come back home immeditately I went back out rather than giving up and staying in.

    I want to re-introduce Bob's s t r e t c h challenge for January: how much extra an you earn / save off your food shop / move / remove.
Managed 3 surveys in a row tonight. :D They have been so sparce recently.

Consistancy is key. 3 runs a week is better than one long run.
Go for a run two days in a row too, train your muscles to run when tired. No more than 2 days thou! The strength comes from resting and repairing.
Do you have a parkrun near you?

Thinking of you EE. Hugs Fmess, ccl and anyone else who wants one (promise not to pass lurgy on). Thank you for your faith in me apple.

Worked on clearing the room until 6am this morning - later boxes were less sorted (throw the rubbish and scoop the rest up, before my back hurts too much). My hair is dreadful as I was sweating profusely and kept dragging my fingers through my hair to pull it away from my face. Brought a sheet from downstairs (was actually a quilt cover), put it on the mattress and wrapped it over the top of me and rested for a few hours (slept for part of it). I was tired but woke up a bit by the time I had washed and done my teeth.

Woke up, had pills and something to eat, moved the bed through 180 degrees, sweeping round and under at each pause. Then it was time to get dressed and go to crafts. Easy session, only 3 of us there. Drew an outline of the first lette of one participant's name and doodled (a heart, a flower, trailing leaves, a star, a dog and an owl) so that she could colour it in and then made cards with the other attendee - we were gifted some expensive card making materials a while ago, so used some of them. I had a good look when I cleared out the craft cupboard and put them in a hamper for things to do in 2018.

Very tired, so topped up on rolls at the little shop (bag of food I had prepared is nearly empty, had the raw veg with the last of the dip for breakfast). Had a short rest then started to bring shelf parts upstairs. Instructions said it was a 2 'man' job (their pictures) but had mostly put the first one together when DS3 and Beloved woke up (I actually thought they had gone out for the day). Asked DS3 for help with an awkward bit and he stayed until both sets were done.

One piece missing (one of the packages had been damaged and taped up) but it is fine because we have put that part at the top and as it's the bit that makes it into 2 cubes we have a longer shelf, which is the perfect height for the printer (we checked that it wasn't too high for Beloved). The pack of cube cardboard boxes fit perfectly in the cubes as well (they may get covered in fabric or paper at some point, but for now I am glad to have a pack of 20 for the price of 2 or 3 ready made ones). They will also be good for hiding non-uniform materials.

Hoping to do a quick sort tonight as I really want a bath. The pile of 'stuff' is higher than me but quite a lot is cardboard boxes. may set them out on the bed and sort into the boxes like a mail room and then tackle a box at a time - with my ruthless head on. Stuff must go.Don't care about the sorting as long as I can have a bath and get into clean sheets and a properly made bed. Now have 16 cubes + 4 spaces on top to sort into categories.

Have already filled a huge bin bag and two small carriers with assorted rubbish. Will try to sort my 'new' desk tomorrow before CBT - it's mindfulness week.

Today I am grateful for staying on my feet, putting the shelves together without trauma and a bath (I will have one).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
