  • Raphael I do have a park run by me and have gone the last two weeks but it's at the exact time my DD has a club so not sure how often I will be able to go. That's really good advice tho. I have been trying to go out every other day(ish) but never questioned going out two days in a row.

Two bags taken to the cs bin in the library + bag of stuff into the food bank box. Awake all night, had a little rest this morning. Decluttering is starting to get difficult - I understand the bit about postponed decisions. Have posted a parcel of stuff from my stash but struggling with finished items (some have been around a very long time). Going to donate most of them.

The part finished ones were much easier. If they were started then stopped and not continued then after a certain time they need to go. May attack another part of the pile and leave this for later (can think it over and then look at it again). Sure there are some bags and boxes I could just tip in the bin but hate waste, even if it's only paperclips and similar bits.

Feeling better but the last stage of the lurgy leaving is quite painful. Coughed so much I was sick.

Today I am grateful for having all this stuff - part of the problem is not being able to have some of these things when I was younger, until 12 years ago I only had a small amount of materials at home. I have to do this, I must do this, I want to do this, I will do this.

Also very very grateful for snowman toilet roll and the bread rolls I bought yesterday - makes breaking for food very easy.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

  • Hello turtles!
NSD #8 today. Pleased with that.

Work was long and dull today, feeling like I might have a cider tonight (liberated from work, that's liberated, not stolen :D)

Ooooh, almost forgot, I found a fiver in my coat pocket today. That never happens haha!:rotfl:

Also I now have a discount card for the local secure car park which offers me a cheaper flat rate for when I'm at work. I'll use that one when the council car parks are full price and use the council ones when they're £1 (evenings and Sundays).

DH got another coat of paint on the spare room walls. Going to decide on colours later for the actual design. It'll all be wilkos own brand (as is the white wash) because it's the cheapest and in all honesty one of the best quality I've used.

Today I'm grateful for the found fiver, an early finish, cooking fresh tonight and looking forward to a little lay in tomorrow.

I'm up to £2.50 on the yougov surveys app and qmee seems to have dried up already but I'll stick it out.

Have a lovely evening all :)

    hi all,

holiday is over & I am officially back in the game.

managed to come in under budget & had an amazing time :) a bit gutted it is all over.

just started an application for PPI. hub & I were in BAD debt 7 years ago & I thought it too long ago to claim but apparently not. let's see. been meaning to do it forever but those were dark days & frankly looking into it all fills me with dread even now I am debt free. IF I get anything back I am going to put it towards something fun for my boys.

janus- looking forward. about to do my yearly budget. nursery have said I don't have to pay for any hols I take as long as I book them out now. big task but well worth doing

activities- no YS shopping or runninh but lots of swimming/walking/ trying new things.

non negotiable- doing weekly meal plan tomorrow. NSD still 4 but still think I can do it. just :o budgets- 600 came through so
    savings
    1800 - paris
    500 Lapland UK tickets
    950 emergency pot

general- 23 spends  not worried though as my cupboards are full to bursting

unshakable- keeping my budget in mind.remembering that this is priority & I must make best of the money I have.

always plan- lived off meal plan all week even while away, took our drinks & snacks, & spent our money on things we really wanted to do rather than juices & rubbish.

reduce, reuse, recycle- got lots of use this week from kids trikes :)

you- lots of relaxed time with my boys is what its all about :)

hope you're all ok, I haven't read all comments yet

I have been very lazy today. The day has been cold, grey and miserable so I have been sat on the sofa under a quilt with Duncan & played some Skyrim. I did manage to complete a quest I've had hanging around for months, so I feel a sense of accomplishment :D

    Janus - 12 Months target to repay Mum. £394.65 / £3000
£143.62 added today. £28.53 extra NY wages, £50 grocery budget and £65.09 unused weekly budget.

    Activity. Crochet & keep active.
Was supposed to run today, but it's technically the last day of my week off (not back til Monday, but Sat/Sun are days off) so I slobbed around today.
Keeping up with the crochet thou, I have used up two more balls of wool.

    Non-negotiables:
    -[STRIKE]18[/STRIKE] 25 NSDs 11/25
    Nothing spent today.
[STRIKE]-£5 to foodbank / charity[/STRIKE] Donation dropped in the drop box.

Unabashed, unambiguous, unconditional, undaunted, undivided, unerring, unshakeable devotion to your goal(s). [more on this later]

Always plan your meals; always take a shopping list; always take your lunch to work and drink + snacks when out and about; avoid all coffee shops, vending machines, work canteens... Still working on clearing out the freezer. One chunk of gammon and one fishcake down today.

Reduce, re-use, repair, re-gift, recycle, recover, refuse! And read.

You are the key to reducing your debt, living modestly, keeping as fit and well as you can. So look after yourself - physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Definately looked after myself mentally today by just shamelessly enjoying a lazy day. I haven't played video games for months, so really enjoyed it.

Was a spend day. Did a top up food shop. Booked and went to an exhibition - Elvis on Tour. Only brought an souvenir programme. Some of the things they were selling were expensive. A casual jacket was £110. Did bring my lunch from home to have whilst out. Also booked a place for a 5k charity walk in London. Brought colouring pencils for my mindfulness colouring book-did get £1 off, only found out when I went to the till.
    Grateful for:
    Elvis on Tour exhibition.
    Day out.
Did some walking, also went up stairs at the train stations.
    Having a chilled out evening.

A spend day today, had to pay for parking at the chiropractor and also bought some tickets to see a film at the cinema as a treat for studying.

Work was frustrating today, we had a break in at one of our sites and some stuff got stolen. Really frustrating and it has a knock on impact on the work I'm trying to do.

Plans for the weekend are studying and cleaning tomorrow, then riding on Sunday and off to my niece's first birthday party. Have a good weekend everyone!

Today I am grateful for being able to bake, for getting the whole downstairs properly swept and tidied, for dd enjoying school, for dd loving the lunchtime football club, for my workout, for dh going to do the food shop, for messages from friends, for dd eating more (I think it was f0xh0les or greent who said their kiddies lost their appetites during inactive hols, which was good to hear), for fun frolics planned for tomorrow.
