Love the idea of a "to do" crate - I have a "to do" drawer which is getting more stuff crammed in it by the dayDebt free and Keeping on Track0

Hi Mrs. P
Yeah, trying to keep one "to do " spot in the home is the key I think .
The crate is an eyesore , but one day the crate will morph into a couple of bags and be thrown away . Well, that's the plan
So today I went out for a long walk . I say long , but about 50 mins in the land of hills and pot holes . It felt like a small workout and I felt the benefit . The idea is to do this daily ( except when I see mr trainer) and expand on it over time . At the moment I get tired and heady on alternate days due to my condition ,so I'm stop start and not as consistent as I would like . Still the crisps have gone since tues and I'm cutting back so hopefully in a few months I can be measured again .
I got a text from dwp reminding me of my assessment on Tuesday . Very nice of them to do so .
I weighed things up regarding my appointment with job coach next Friday . As it seems that they only want a fit note ( there's probably more than that ), I sent a message on my u c journal to my job coach advising them that I will be seeing Mrs doctor the following Thursday and asked if it is better to put back the appointment to anytime after then . I'll do what I'm told obviously .
I desperately need my carpets cleaned . They are vacuumed regularly but need a wet treatment . Not sure if I have room for a cheap shampooer or not , or whether that vanish spray is any good .
I'll have to look into it further ..0 -
You could hire a carpet cleaner, it would save having to find somewhere to store one if you bought it. I've seen them for hire in some supermarkets, and B&Q.0

Sounds a good idea gigervamp . Do they deliver?0
-
Probably not, but you could get a taxi back with it.0
-
Thanks gigervamp . I'll look into it .0

50 minutes walking on mixed terrain is great AC (every time I write your name I think how it no longer applies. You are the opposite of Another Casualty)
I am going to be hiring a steam cleaner in the Autumn too. My carpeted areas need a proper clean after all the dust from the sanding.
Have a good dayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I have been called many things:D .Tbh I think we are all casualties of what we have had to endure over the years , but we have to eventually fight back when we are forced into a corner where there seems no way out . Then again, what do I know ?;)
Bizarre and not so great news regarding the children upstairs.
The flat opposite has got a big family there who moved in a few days ago. They have lots of potted plants ,and a couple of bikes outside their property on the floor . There is also a large , tall shoe holder with many shoes . Fair enough . Around 1pm yesterday ,I heard the raised voices from the children , plus the running up and down the stairs . I went out with mail for the neighbour next door ( addressed to my door no. In error) and I found a few kids sitting on 5he floor outside my door playing cards . They said hello as did I . They said as it was raining , they had to play there . Fair enough . I was very much gulliver stepping over the little people. The people opposite are friends of the people above . Hopefully it's not a habit . Hopefully there will be no bawling baby . Something I have to monitor .
It's obviously best to be nice to them , but I don't want bad habits and liberty taking to occur . The people upstairs have quietened down a lot over the last few weeks . I'm hoping they can keep it that way ..0 -

Hmm, kids and flats aren't a good mix AC. Don't be too tolerant otherwise the inch will quickly become a mile, and no they don't have to play on your doorstep, inside their flat or outside the building.0 -
Thanks for that Harz.
I am keeping a close eye on things . They haven't done it today .
They do cycle up and down outside . Hard to explain , but by the parking spaces at the end of the block ,there is a communal garden area. So far they haven't cycled in front of my window since I last complained . They do leave the communal door open while the neighbours opposite do the same . It's a difficult situation .
The guy next door to mine on the corner , is the snoop who is a director of the managing agents . I'm hoping to bump into him ,and find out what he makes of it all . Unfortunately, I think that him and his wife and myself are the only owners who actually live there in these flats. He says I could become a director too . Having said that, I'm getting overlooked on my opinions on the window cleaners and the refusal to have a weighted door closer fitted .
It looks like it won't be too long before I make another complaint to the managing agents . The small block is turning into a playground ..0
