Milk and double cream? Haha, you really pushed the boat out there! Lovely occasionally, but a bit heavy on the calories for regular consumption!
Mash and roasties are my favourite ways to eat spuds. I could never go low carb!
Sorry to hear you've got a cold. Hopefully it'll be the last one until the end of the year.0 -
Thanks gigervamp
I don't normally get more than 1 a year . Hopefully it'll be gone in a few days . Yeah mash ,roasties and chips of course0 -
Chips I can take or leave. It depends on whether they're proper chip shop chips, gastro pub triple fried, or frozen oven chips. Not so keen on the latter!0

Morning AC how's the cold? Hope you're battling on ok.
Good move with the mse food why not take a look at the old style board for more tips?
Did the job centre give you any targets for your job search last week? Hopefully you're continuing your search and planning to apply for some more this week - no time for slacking now you're all fired up and ready to go0 -
Hi moo:)
Fired up and ready to go, I am not . I now have the full blown flu.
I managed to get to the chemist for some night nurse. The lady behind the counter has the flu for over a week . Still, after 2 nights of not sleeping at all the night nurse did it's job . I have been taking whisky / honey / fresh lemon juice also in very hot water.
Haven't felt this rough since I first moved here in 2016. Storm Angus etc . I have asked mr trainer to reschedule for Friday , and amawaiting his response . I also have friends coming on Sunday as we are going to a gig in Bournemouth . Fingers crossed most of it has gone by then .
At the moment universal credit haven't been very tough on me . I haven't logged in since Friday . I will log in now . I have a mass of emails from the job agencies . I aim to trawl through them tomorrow .
Today was the first time I had a lie in in my present flat . Good that I haven't got into lazy habits . Just a red nose . One thing I have been doing is scoffing snickers bars and peanut butter and toast . Obviously short term , as I haven't the patience to cook . Those snickers bars are so small . Salt and vinegar kettle chips are not , but are handy right now ..0 -
Oh dear not so good then AC
So keep your fluids up and your food simple and nourishing. Snickers bars don't count as nourishing however nice they are!
Small steps on the job search then until you recover, perhaps just save a few jobs to apply for when you're feeling more human.0 -
Well, it took me a little longer to sleep but when I did it was great .
I did send a text to mr trainer asking him to put today's session back to Friday . Never got a response, so today sent another one asking if he saw the last message etc. Again no response. Maybe he left his mobile in the gym ?? Who knows .
I ordered a picture frame from the amazon . I didn't open the pack when I received it last Friday . When I did today , I found all the corners marked . Plus it had about 20 metal pieces that need to be removed and then reinserted . I removed one . If I persisted then my fingers would be covered in blood , so I am returning it .
Lots of rain today . Just as well that I'm spending another day indoors0 -
I like Ikea for picture frames, especially their Ribba frames, which come in wood, black or white, and include a mount. I've been looking at getting some of the frames that fit A4 and A3 sized art, and they're only £6 and £7 respectively, which is a very good price.
You can now order online and have the items delivered.0 -
Hello AC. Even with the flu you're way ahead of me. How does your new domesticated lifestyle feel? I'm still trying to move forward for mine!
Learning to cook from scratch is a good way forward. I never seem to have any time, but I think that'll really boost your energy levels. It's one of those things that would benefit me, if I could push through the initial discomfort.
Get well soon.0 -
Thanks MT:)
Loving the picture . Looks so much like me
I guess the key thing in my new angle of cooking is that there are no additives. Whenever you buy oven chips or even mash, there are so many things in there. Having said that, I need to cook something proper ( for me anyway ) later.
Being domesticated is fine I guess. I'm enjoying living like a pensioner tbh. Trying not to think too far ahead for the moment .
I will have to start deleting those emails soon..0
