Well . I just had a session with mr, trainer . All good . He finds so many ways to torture me . Still, we're both happy . Will be seeing him again on Monday . I have now put a stop to my hunger cravings and put down to 2 mad weeks . A bit like being on holiday in a way .
The way he sees it now , is that I have 6 months to improve on my health and eventually I will fit and ready for everything .
Yesterday , I got the new increased council tax bill as did evrrybody.
Poole has merged with Bournemouth and Christchurch council.
Not really good in the scheme of things . Accident and emergency is no longer at Poole hospital . Hopefully I won't need it . Fingers crossed. Today I have just received my amended council tax bill.
I'm a bit gobsmacked at how well I have been treated so far .
What has basically happened is that council tax support has paid £815.26. Payment received either taken from my account or universal credit £120.21 . This means that amount payable for 2019/2020 is £83.60 £3.60 on 1st September and £20 from October - jan.
No complaints from me . Considering that I only submitted documents on Friday to their office ,they are treating me well so far.
Having said that, if my circumstances change then of course so do the payments .
I put a small bass guitar practice amp up for sale on fleabay. Hoping to get say, £20. The listing was due to end in about an hour .
I had 4 watchers . Starting price £7.20 . I decided to keep it .For now
The 2 basses I listed are on a bass guitar site and not fleabay
It means that if I hang on ,I should get nearer the price I want .
People hopefully should have the January and winter and xmas blues out of the way and may want to buy something in the spring
Regarding my attempts to reconfigure the flat : I saw on flea bay one of those study beds. They aren't cheap. However as I don't drive / own a large van there is no way of picking up one I saw in Surrey .
If there was one nearer to me, I could have potentially asked james ( paying him of course) and a bargain would be had.
I've made good progress in the music room yesterday .
What I do have though, is one of those crates left with clutter.
I may tackle that tomorrow .
One annoying thing about my flat ..stud walls ! I have to be careful about how much or should I say how little I can put on them .0 -
Have you looked at the day beds and sofa beds on Ikea? Their prices are very good in comparison to other retailers, and I've had no problems with the quality of their stuff. I'm sitting on a sofa we picked up in their bargain corner for £350, 12 years ago, and structurally, it's still good. The cats have scratched up the covers, but we've got a new set to replace them. That's another advantage with Ikea sofas and chairs, they also do extra covers for most of the designs. And they deliver.
Good news with the council tax, that will be very helpful to your outgoings.0 -

Thanks gigervamp.
TBH , I'm in a quandary of sorts . I have in the front room , my old leather 3 seater and 2 seater settees . I still have my Qvc air bed double size which one of my sisters found very comfortbale the times they used . In my music room ,is my iMac on a computer desk.
I have been looking at IKEA and other places here on my iPad .
For the price of everything , I could either get ( hopefully) 1 sofa and a matching sofa bed for the living room. Or just get something for that music room . Or, I could ( possibly ) put one of the settees in my music room and just get non leather stuff from ikea as you mention.
Decisions decisions ..:o0 -
In our guest room, we have the Ikea Hemnes day bed. With the mattresses, it cost just over £400. It can be used as a sofa, a single bed, and opened out, a double bed. It also has 3 large drawers for storage.
You could get that for your music room.0 -

Thanks for that gigervamp .
I am going to checkout measurements etc. It sounds right .0 -
Well, a few things going on over the weekend .
I finally had a light bulb moment and started moving furniture around
I moved the sideboard from the music room and it fits great at the end of my bed . If I want to put my small tv and soundbar on top of it I probably could . Not sure if it's too dangerous being that close to a
window. I haven't used it since moving ,so I may not put it there.
I moved the slim chest of drawers into the music room . A swap.
I have lots of room in that space and will probably put my gigbags and hopefully quilts , pillows and sheets there too if they fit .
I have a plan for that music room that seems like working after all this time . The issue will then be what kind of bed/ futon/ sofa bed I can put there for guests. I may be better off getting 1 or 2 foldout beds with mattresses and place them in other rooms . I'll see.
Saturday night about 9pm , the water company decided to do some work right outside my windows.. till about 3.30 am . Fair enough.
The annoying thing was the orange light from their truck was flashing constantly through the blinds the whole time . A bit like a disco but without the crap music and only one colour light ..orange.
Saw mr. Trainer again today . All good .
Nice sunny couple of days . Summer is on its way it seems ..0 -
I have gone over my mad overeating period from when I had the flu till last weekend . It means that all the snickers , kit kats and crisps are now gone . Even the snack a jacks . So long , I will miss you guys
Having said all that , I'm back the whole meal bread now and again .
It's supposed to be good for fibre , so not all bad.
My jeans happen to be getting loose again . A bit embarrassing .
I know we should say no to crack but I'm getting a bit annoyed having to keep pulling my jeans up while carrying 2 bags of groceries .
I have almost finished the music room at last . Everything seems to fit. I should be using it again either today or tomorrow .
The one thing I do need to do when I'm ready after that , is to do a bit of touching up on my previous efforts of painting the flat when I moved in . I'm not Picasso , but I had a tight deadline when getting everything done at the time. I may paint the music room a louder colour . Plenty of time to think . As for the guest situation , still undecided. What I may do is buy one leather sofa bed and get rid of my old furniture . The living room would look bigger etc , but it is cosy anyway. I have a recliner and 2 settees and there is only me . Letting go is something I may have to do again .
The guy who owns the flat upstairs has sent people in yesterday and today to decorate further. Well, blinds are being put up . Not sure of what else. It looks like my new neighbours will be in at the
weekend. Tbh I expected them sooner .
The neighbour opposite sold her flat finally . She used 3 estate agents at different times . After the 3 re one was appointed the second estate agent got her the sale . Initially she wanted 225 k , then 220. I expect she got about 210.
Watched the Motley Crue film on Netflix . Hilarious in a spinal tap/ benny hill kind of way. Good true story . Obviously stuff omitted and changed for the film. Never really a fan , but saw them a couple of times . I did have tkts to see them many moons ago. It was snowing here. They cancelled due to " the wrong kind of snow". I do miss the '80s...0 -

Not at the moment Harz . I have been looking and am signed off work for six months . I am due to see my work coach in the middle of April
Will keep you posted0 -
What's been going on ..?
Pain seems to have increased since my stoppage of prednisolone a month ago . I have to tough it out . It will take time . No way am I fit for work at the moment . It will take at least 6 months for it to come out of my system fully and for my original hormone state to return .
I have my meeting with my job coach next Tuesday and will see their angle of things .
Training still going well with mr . Trainer in spite of all this .
Today he thinks I've lost weight , and wants to do a proper weighing session etc next week . He keeps telling me that out of 100 people in a room , only 2 people would continue training . He seems impressed.
My music room and kitchen are now done and I just have to tidy up the clutter which has been put in the bedroom .
The new tenants upstairs are more or less invisible . They seem very considerate . They smoke on the bench across the road .
On 2 occasions in 2 weeks , there has been a stench of spicy food coming into my flat . Not impressed. It could be the family that have been here all the time . Leading to today ...
I was watching the chase , or trying to . The kids and the bawling baby have become too much . Not content with running up and down the stairs , they have been jumping on the ceiling .
So I went out , and shut the door . The woman's mother ( kids grandmother ) was coming in and I mentioned the noise.
English is not their first language . I tried communicating . Not being racist at all ,just explaining the hard job of explaining to them
They are running in front of my window and I am worried incase they damage the shrubbery outside my windows.
Not sure if I should mention this to the managing agents .
There is a communal garden area , which they should be using .
I'll see what gives .
I'm counting how many up there today . Woman 1 boy , 1 girl , 1 bawling baby , the man who comes over to wind the baby up and the older lady .Too many people for a 2 bedroom flat .0
