  • Thanks moo:)
I've just applied for a role which may be good if I were trained. The only thing is, I 'applied via Google'. Minimal info required , and I couldn't add my covering letter. It took my last salary ,and job title.
Not part time ,although no hours were mentioned.
Still, it's done and I will forget about it and move on to the next one..

I've never 'applied via Google' so not sure what's happened here. Just as well we're practicing huh?

If you want to try taking this one a little further you could see if you can find the job vacancy somewhere else that makes it easier to apply. Try copying and pasting the text (or part) of the job description into your search bar and see if the job comes up on another site. Then you could try applying again?

This is a good technique to use on lots of jobs you see as you can often get to the actual website of the company advertising the job this way and a direct application will improve your chances of getting seen by the recruiting person.

Still :rotfl: and giggling to self re opticians. Thanks!
  • Slept well . I just updated my journal on universal credit . There is a comments section underneath the details of job application . I just put down that I applied to get back into practice of job interviews etc.
There are a couple of other jobs that I may apply for today , just to keep universal credit happy .
I mentioned google yesterday . I think that they are way too intrusive, and will ignore that option in the future .
They use my nickname that I use when browsing you tube etc. I don't put comments on you tube . Anti social media is way too intrusive .

Last night , I moved the heavy crate from the music room into bedroom . It fits on the end of the bed . Now that I've cleared the kitchen and the music room , I have a clear mind . Less procrastination in theory .

The crates on fleabay hopefully should be sold today . The bidding started at less than £10. I went on their guidelines when listing .
I have 1 bid . I put a £15 reserve . Many watchers . Bidding ends at lunchtime . One of my friends said I should use bumtree . I may do if they don't sell today .
Off to the gym shortly . Sunshine and showers today ..and supposedly windy .
  • Gym, good cardio . Crates sold . Collected tomorrow afternoon . Feeling more domesticated . ( something like that ):o

Sounds like all the domestics are catered for then AC! Did you manage any job applications or is that tomorrow's task?

Keep on keeping going you're moving forward :)

What's causing all the emails AC? Is it the settings on the job search sites or responses to applications you've made or other more spammy stuff?

Can you create a 'jobs' folder and move them all to that? You need to be able to organise this job search so it's worth thinking this through a bit.

Loads of alerts . Once you're on the system you get bombarded with emails day and night . Pita.
I doubt that emails can go straight to a jobs folder. If so, I'll do that.
If not, I'll have to create another email address. I'll mull it over tomorrow .
    Thanks

You should be able to set your alerts up to send you one daily alert from each site you're signed up to - so half a dozen maybe. Probably no control over what time they come in though, but play around with email alert settings on each of those job sites.

Then you can simply schedule a time to check them each day during your job search and move them into the jobs folder once that's done for the day.

Just trying to think of ways to keep your job hunt manageable for you as otherwise it can get a bit overwhelming :(

You need a nice clear head so have a look tomorrow as you say.
  • I sent an email to Poole council regarding council tax . I have to fill in form that they sent in their reply .
I'm in the process of applying for an admin job at Poole hsp. Long and drawn out application , which I am only halfway through finishing .
Will go through the various job sites and sort out the regualruty of emails and tidy up the clutter .

The lady is due shortly to collect crates.

I posted the job entry on the universal credit website .

Kitchen is immaculate . As is living room . Bedroom almost . Music room almost . Bathroom immaculate also.

Later on I will finish application and then use my synth etc .
