Strange morning
I woke up with that ecg feeling . Fair enough . First time for a few weeks , so I assume it'll pass in a couple of hours . Still, I saw Mrs doctor and just had an unsupervised session in mr trainers gym
Regarding the appt with Mrs dr: she thinks there may be a vitamin d defficency. S he thinks I may have another condition ( of which I cannot remember the name ), where you get constant pains in the legs
I don't agree but will go for blood test in January . I'm used to it all anyway.
Looking at the bed / sofa situation , I'm not gonna rush into anything just because of Black Friday . In fact I've seen a normal price ottoman from John Lewis ( obviously excluding mattress) for around £400 which is assembled when delivered . Feedback is good on that model. I'll have a mooch around the shops tomorrow and take stock before making the final decisions . Christmas sales not too far off, so no rush
The main thing I should do now , is tidy up the paper crap which will take sometime anyway .
Writing this on my iPhone as I'm meeting my friend for liquid lunch very soon...

Vit D deficiency is quite common, lack of sunlight, and bad diet are the major reasons. Might be an idea to get a vitamin D supplement.0

So, just purchased vitamin D from Holland and Barrett online .
Black Friday deal . Also 2 moths supply of berocca from the amazon
I used to take berocca daily first thing , and swore by it . Now I just swear . I stopped when the first doctor I saw 2 years ago thought it affected my pulse . Have had it on and off over the last couple of months , but think it's best to get back on it .
Looking at the vitamin D situation , tbh I'm not doing a huge deal, wrong as such and the stuff from Holland and Barrett should get me back on the straight and narrow .
Just got an email from the managing agents who want to rectify poor electrical work . It'll probably mean a large bill . Lots to take in at the moment .
Still,I'll just keep pressing forward and hopefully push obstacles out of the way ..0 -

Hmm, accept any diagnosis from your doctor as it will help goining forward with benefits claims AC.!0 -
Of course harz
The important thing is that everything is logged into mrs doctors notes
I obviously expect nothing from universal credit . I'll just keep complying with their demands , go to the eventual court case and see what gives . Even if I do win my battle with ltd capability for work , I'll have to do that all over again a few months after that .
Remind me not to vote:mad:...0 -
You are taking the whole UC journey in your stride but it may still be impacting hence ecg thing so keep an eye on things. You seem to have a good GP who you stay in contact with so that's good.
I've also started to take Vit D. I have a spray combined with fit K (whatever that is)
Have a good weekendIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Okay . An eventful day . I did something positive ..and something stupid. The way I feel , I look at life and say" it's life just carry on . You're not battered "
What am I talking about ? See below...
I went to have a look at the sofas and beds . Did I expect to buy anything ? No. I was prepared to have a chat with any of the sales people that asked me if I needed help.
With that in mind , I went to one well known shop and I was very impressed with the nice young lady who was enthusiastic and new her job. Very professional and not pushy. I got valuable help.
Nothing purchased there .
I went to another place that had just beds . Nothing to see. Short and sweet . A quiet shop with one assistant . Nice enough guy , but nothing to see there .
Then the third shop : as soon as I walked in there , I saw the ideal sofa
I took my shoes off and lay across it . It just screamed out to me " buy me now ." The sales assistants were laughing .
I talked to the sales assistant about beds as well . Unfortunately this is where I made things bad for myself in one way , but stopped spending too much in another . Now the plan was to pay today with credit card which I owe nothing on , and take some money from the funds mentioned previously to cover everything . (Btw on a slight tangent , I will be taking out less than £6,000 so everything ( including a years service charges will be covered and I have breathing space for x amount of months)
The three seater leather sofa cost under £1,000 .
I was going to get a bed and mattress with it , and tbh the total for everything was going to be towards £2,000 . This included extras like extra pieces of furniture etc. I was almost swayed . However , the assistant kept saying that I could apply for credit I could change my mind right up to 3 days before delivery . I listened to the wrong advice right there . I was going to pay for it with my card , but if I went for the credit option I had more protection if I changed my mind .
What happened then was I got declined .i told the assistant I expected to be declined .The companies that declined me were Secure trust PLC and Equifax .
This meant I thought things through and just got the sofa instead .
The reason I was hesitant about the bed was because I almost got talked out of having an ottoman . Reason being that the sales assistant said that there isn't room to breathe with an ottoman bed .
This pricked my ears up because I do have wooden floors and potential condensation issues in my old Victorian flat .
He did say that I may be better off having a bed that's not an ottoman and buy a couple of storage drawers or containers to put under a normal bed instead .
As I say , the good news is , is that I've got the right sofa for the right price . Fingers crossed I won't jinx that .
The other good news is that I never got a bed .
The bad news is that I did the stupid thing of getting credit scored and being declined .yes I know what I did . Only did it in case I didn't like the bed . Lesson learned big time . As I said above , it's not the end of the world and I wasn't really embarrassed . Just angry with myself
Having said all that , I may be better off keeping my bed . Is there much difference between a double and a kingsize? Very mse if I do.0 -
Kingsize is 6" wider and 3" longer, so not a lot between them. I would just get storage bags or boxes for underneath the one you have if you find it comfortable and save a lot of money.Credit card debt - NIL
Home improvement secured loans 30,130/41,000 and 23,156/28,000 End 2027 and 2029
Mortgage 64,513/100,000 End Nov 2035
2022 all rolling into new mortgage + extra to finish house. 125,000 End 20360 -
Thanks susie
TBH , I think I was letting things go when I got into a major rut.
The sofa was a good move imho as I've had the old ones over 20:years
Tomorrow I'll see if I can keep what I have ,and be savvy again0
