No decluttering here for me since my last post on Sunday. Got a phone call not long afterwards to say that my aunt had died so everything has been put on hold since then. Funeral was today so after a busy week time to have a time out and forget about silly things and more family time.

Maybe next week I'll look into starting to declutter again and get my mojo back, but for now it's family time and chill out time.

So sorry to read your news

Congrats to all on this. A real 'resolution' that's working. Wish I could be as successful. I do try!

One point - remember to sign up any charitable gift donations for Gift Aid. It allows the charity to claim back tax you will have paid. They should have the necessary form which does need you to give your name and address. Remember to ask them for no further marketing tho'!

If you are trying then you are half way to success already.

Hi, I have just come across this thread and think it is very inspiring - you've all done so well in getting rid of stuff!

Could I join you please? I have a bad habit of putting things into piles to deal with later and then never actually dealing with them so I hope that coming on here to announce my decluttering will help me actually get rid of some stuff.

I did list 20 things on eBay at the weekend and a few of them will sell so that's a start but I have a whole other pile to start on this weekend!

We would love to have you.. sounds like you are off to a great start.

I'd like to give it a try. I'm not sure I could manage 3 every day, but I think I could commit to 15 things a week:)

Any number that works for you is perfect... welcome

Hi all... Just wanted to say found the thread through the e-mail, so glad I did!
It's brill to see all the enthusiasm going on in here.. I started decluttering just after Xmas and have done quite well..
I sent a huge bag to my local homeless shelter, they also accept towels, bedding, kitchen goods (ie: pots & pans) as they help relocate and house peeps too..
The open door (a similar shelter, offering meals/showers) also takes food goods (my neighbour donated his whole kitchens worth when he relocated back home!!)
    They were so very grateful..
Perhaps we could add this option to the list of places to donate?
    :)

What email did you find us from? Glad to have you... so glad I started this thread... it seems to be really helping me as well as everyone who has joined to stay on track.

    Evening all,
Lots of sorting but not much decluttering as the majority has gone into the carboot pile. Roll on carboot season so I can finally declutter from the house and hopefully make some money for debt slaying.

Also have practically a full wardrobe of clothes to photograph and place for sale on Spock/ fleabay so need to start conquering

I love carboots too and cannot wait for the weather to be a bit warmer.
