    Does that link work?

If not just click on home and there should be a link to the evalue code page in your top right hand corner.

Also if you want to know how to get a 4% rebate from dell, pm me.

I'm not allowed to post the information on this board (please read), and complain if necessary.

Which is crazy if you ask me as you could be over £16 out of pocket because this information isn't readily available to you, a consequence of these rules.

MSE please note the number of pms I've recieved about these extra rebate is into double figures now and all of these people have found the information useful.

I understand the above provokes controversy so I will limit these comments to this reply and will not discuss the issue further on this or another thread.

[edit] I'm offline now and may not be on this evening, but your pms will be answered tommorow.

bit of a longshot but has anybody spotted any good laptop deals yet? I had a look around the Dell site last night but nothing jumped out at me as a really good bargain :(

This seems a good offer on the Dimension though with the double RAM, decent HD and TFT - pity it's not a desktop I'm looking for ATM :)

I was thinking of buying a £600 laptop from Currys for £450 on Sunday with the codes/egg card.

Got my mate in work to buy one
i figured to buy the LCD alone costs £150,
an OEM copy of XP costs in excess of £80 nowadays (it is nice to have legit auto updates installed and running isnt it)

so he's getting a tidy PC for under a hundred quid delivered
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

  • If you ring Dell, they should be able to offer this for £225 without the monitor.

And yes, I realise you might be able to sell at 17 inch TFT for more than £103 ... but I'd have thought you might also find it difficult?

(https://www.saynoto0870.com does have some alternatives to their 0870 number, but I ended up having to go through a switchboard ...)

    Thanks guys! :j

I went for the P4 option (e-value code 1-D06302b - £410 all inclusive) and I think its a really good deal. Saving over 100 quid on whatever they quote normally. Was surprised that delivery would have cost me 50 quid otherwise!

NB - the celeron one does not come standard with a DVD drive - you have to select the CDRW/DVD combo (only an extra 11 quid). The P4 one however comes with this as the minimum spec for CD drive.

Did a bit of surfing and i think the P4 is more future proof than the celeron, and is essential if you are doing anything that needs high graphics requirements (e.g. gaming, movies).

Will keep you posted about whether the PC is actually warrantied beyond the 90 day free service period when I get it.

Finally, any idea on how long I have to wait to receive it? I have never ordered anything from dell so just wondering what is the "norm"!? I can imagine they are flooded cos of all these deals.

I ordered a Dell about 3 months ago - it arrived after 5 days - they quoted me a date and it came several days before their quoted date.
