Boots Sale

  • Got some nice things from Boots on Friday. I go every year and I am always amazed why anyone would want 3 or 4 Ikea bags full. The area around the discounted items busy but everyone had a chance to get something and many went for the large gift sets, Jack Wills and men toiletries. Overall the atmosphere was good . A woman asked me where I got my Jack Wills from, she was late getting there. I caught up with her about 10 minutes later with nothing in her hand. Happily accepted a set that I did not really need. The boots sale has been especially good this year as I got lots of add on presents and toiletries for my mum who gets through lots in her care home so I can now take in some lovely smellies every time I visit.

It's nice when there's a nice atmosphere going and everyone is looking out for one another.
It was quite congested in mine and they had 5 or 6 big cage things on the floor full of a mix of stock in addition to the shelf displays; people were going through them holding them up and shouting them out for others who may want them that couldn't get so close.
Always one or two that like to take the lot (usually everyday brands like Lynx, Dove etc that they can breakdown and sell on etc)
How lovely that your Mum will get some nice smellies too.

If anyone is interested - Yardley London English Rose fragrance set is scanning at £2.10 when labelled at £10. It is because it has been previously reduced to £7 so takes 70% off from that price instead of full price. It has 50ml EDT and the body spray. 50ml EDT is £9.99 at Boots and body spray £2.49 http://www.boots.com/yardley-english-rose-eau-de-toilette-50ml-10192302
For some reason its not showing online anymore but some of the Boots stores I visited had loads in stock.

  • Thank you, she was surprised and very pleased. My New Years resolution was to be more thoughtful of others and to do more random acts of kindness.

Still two sides of stock in my local - the vast majority being Zoella calendars that lots of people were looking at. Lots of Lucy M stuff (think I'd assumed it was fabletics before but poss a mix of both) Advent Ale and for some reason a lot of Jamie Oliver mugs too.

Not sure of anything still sat in the returns boxes - I guess they prob get put out in the morning so go quickly if its anything good.

I had today off work to take my DD to an exam. Called in my big town centre Boots out of curiosity. Apart from around a dozen random items, dented boxes, the odd box of biscuits etc it was just boxes and boxes of Zoella calendars. If it's the same around the rest of the country, they're going to have to go to 90% before they start shifting.

Mines the same; still a stand left with a few oddments of damaged stock, some still very expensive candles and lots if Fabletics and Zoella advent calendars!! Defo think the calendars will have to go to 90% off to shift them...
Oh and a few Little Something sets too...
  • All this store had left today were the Zoella advent calendars (surprise, surprise) and a few Fabletics items. Also a few bashed items but nothing worth buying.
