Boots Sale

Actually, my local store sold all their Zoella calendars really quickly!
There was LOADS of soap and glory left though.0 -

Same here at my biggest local Boots Zoella calendars and lots of them and broken boxes and odd bits of a few other bits. Gunwarf Portsmouth had a couple of fabletics left that is all.0

I went back on Sat to my local and got 2 more of the Zoella jotters, and a Skinny dip pen sep in a case. Not much left yesterday when I went, but going to keep popping in, as last year it was really good!0

Still two sides of shelves in my local, must be at least 60 zoella calendars if not more. Jamie Oliver mugs not shifting, few bits of fabletics and Lucy m still but they seem to be going down and some advent Ale. Oh and urban apothecary diffusers.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Guess who just stumbled across one of those Sanctuary glass jar sets in a charity shop
Perfectly immaculate still with tags for £3!
Nothing left now in our local Boots, but there wasn't much to begin with.0 -
I had to pop into Speke this morning and had a quick look in Boots to see what was left. Still one side of an aisle full of 70% off stuff. Tonnes and tonnes of Fabletics sets - three different sets and I'd say there were at least 50-100 of each. Around 20 each of the Zoella advent calendar and the Lucy M sets. A few very battered boxes of - I can't remember the name but they are Boots own brand and contain different scents of hand cream, bubble bath etc. Some gingerbread man shaped tins with biscuits in. And a few rolls of wrapping paper.
The problem is, this stuff is not even worth what they are charging right now, so it's hardly a bargain. Years ago, the full price on a really nice gift set might have been £10, so at 75% off it would be £2.50, well worth it. These days the original price is unlikely to be less than £18, and with the reduced discount it ends up at £5.40. Add to that the fact it's rubbish that is not worth a fiver, it's no wonder they can't shift it.
I wouldn't pay 75p for a roll of wrapping paper when I've seen it in Tesco, Wilko etc for 10p! And the biscuit tin things, I'd expect to see them for £3 full price, not after a so called hefty discount!0 -
Haha, most of the Zoella cslendars shifted in the 70% off sale, to give our local shoppers their due.
I wonder how many (if any) were MSEers!0 -

On one of the occasions I popped into my town centre Boots, a woman that looked about 60+ walked past the 70% off Zoella calendars, stopped and pulled out her mobile phone to make a call, I guessed she was checking to see if she should purchase- didn't hang around to see the outcome.
I have a Zoella fan. I wouldn't have bought one for her at full-price. At the now price of £15 (possibly up to about £18) it's as much as I'd have wanted to pay out back on the 1st Dec.0 -

Agree, I never go near the roll wrap in Boots sale as every year I see it for 10p in Wilko; got a really nice 5metre quality roll from there the other day. My record was a 5p roll from Sainsbury's one year...
Totally agree with the biscuit tins too; always so over priced in the first place and reduced elsewhere to a much lower price; I always stock up in Waitrose after Christmas when it goes to their final reductions; really nice biscuits for like 50p a box or 99p a tin...0
