I think the item was the soap and glory make up set. That's the item I managed to get today and it definitely wasn't there last night when I visited, so yes, possibility more will go out.
  • There is loads of soap and glory wonder glam in Skegness store which is tiny store they have about 20 of these and around 10 zoella calenders left
  • East Kilbride was cleaned out today, I managed to get what I wanted on Friday morning. Everyone very civilised, no pushing. Glad I did a reccy in advance and knew what I was going for.managed to get some extra items for my gift stash.

Is it me or was there very little No7 about in either 50% or 70% off sales this year? I know they kept the larger sets back last year for V Day before eventually breaking them down but I didn't notice much in the way of smaller sets either; I grant you I didn't take much notice as I personally think it's a bit over rated but it usually jumps out at you.

I returned a couple of things today that I'd bought at 50% off but then managed to get at 70% off. I thought it would be a nice treat for whoever stumbled across them when they were put back on the shelf now they're 70% off someone was going to fall lucky, but no; the assistant put them in a cupboard presumably to return to Boots.com as it was an online order.
Guessing they'll end up in the 50% online sale again later in the year :rotfl:

If it was bought and returned as Boots.Com it doesn’t sit on the stores stock file and has to be returned to the boots.com warehouse to balance the refund. I asked a member of staff last year what happened to it and that is what they told me. They said if they sold it their stock wouldn’t balance, the refunds wouldn’t balance and the stock at boots.com wouldn’t balance, apparently this is part of the reason stuff shows as in stock when you order but it isn’t there when they go to pick it.

  • I went to my local largish Boots Enfield aat about 12ish complete with my 92 year old mother and wheelchair I did try and put her of but she was determined to go. There was quite a bit left that I liked. I wouldn't have paid full price for it but at 70% reduction then it is good. I was able to get some very nice bits for myself with a Boots token that I had for Christmas and even better that they were at a good reduction so I had a nice stash for myself. Mum didn't want to stay parked in the corner out of the way so she pushed the chair around whilst I browsed then she sat watching everybody. I got a few things for others as well. Then pushed Mum around whilst she chose some things she was really happy and stimulated and got some things. People were so nice and moved out of the way or we moved out of their way.. I love all smellies was gifts especially sanctuary or soap and glory. I am not sure I would give Baylis and Harding as I gift but I have had it and must admit that it is very nice and smells good to. I wonder if you did a blind test if people would know what it was.. on one of the TVs programmes people couldn't tell the difference between Aldi and moulton brown soap when it was decanted. I have never ever thrown a Christmas present away I might have given it to someone else or a charity shop especially candles. But generally I am pleased with all I get. I was bought up to say thank you to what you have. I still write thank you letters and love receiving them. Today I went to other Boots surprised how much they had left got a jack Willis holdhall for my brothers partner and a rucksack for him a few other extras for gifts. My Best Buy was a rather battered jack Willis advent calendar for myself no price or barcode I asked at the till how much it was and she scanned a mug behind the counter and said I could have it for £3. I was really delighted and even if it is rubbish it doesn't matter at that price. I am a carer and on a limited income as I only work two days so I rely on sales to get people some nicer bits I only buy what I would like and I do match it up to people. I do confess to getting the works secret santa but I always make sure they are immaculate and they get something worth more than the limit and I pay a bit under the limit. If people are offended then I am not that bothered.

I can tell the difference personally, the Aldi ones smell VERY chemical in comparison to the MB shower gels I've had in the past (Abbott and Broome are they?), I wouldn't pay out for Molton Brown handwashes but I won't buy those Aldi ones again either, back to Carex for me!

Glad to see everyone done well this year in the sale.

I'm gutted I wasn't able to get into town yesterday afternoon as all I wanted was the Jack Wills over the shoulder bag which had been on 50% sale at £12.50 and another similar Pink and Turquoise one from another brand that I can't remember the name of lol. Also the Zoella organiser I had my eye on. I did see them in my store at half price last Friday but I was getting dizzy spells etc so just wanted home as possible, ended up in hospital that night with the Aussie Flu and on Oxygen:eek::(
So not a mission of me getting in, and I couldn't ask my mum to go in as 1) she's a pensioner and I couldn't put her through that, plus we had snow and black ice here yesterday so I wouldn't risk her health either.

Just have to hope that they turn up on Ebay at some stage and hope I remember the brand of the other bag:o

I have ordered some perfume sets at half price this year though for gifts from the website :)
