Morning flyladies.
Hope you feel better soon Dizzy. At least you know your security system works.
The doglets and I slept in till 7.45 today. We are sooo going to struggle next week. DH has gone into the paid stuff on his day off, grrr, says he'll be home after 9 - we'll see.
Not sure what flying will be done today. We're going to have another Xmas dinner as DH was full of cold on Xmas day and wants a dinner he can now taste.
Going to have a soak in the bath, make myself look human and then take the dogs out. Freezing again.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all,
I may throttle DH. He has a cough (a bad one at that, granted) but of course is moping around like it's the end of the world. That is until I suggested we go out for a curry tomorrow and he says 'oh I've arranged to go out with the lads for a few drinks' so he's too 'poorly' to lift a finger at home but can go out drinking?! I think not. And of course he doesn't see why I'm cross. Rant over.
I'm still in bedDS is building Lego and DD is still asleep - to say she went to bed at 6.30 last night that's quite something! Will peg out the towels I put on last night when I get up, and take the tree down. Also need to do a bit of paid stuff for DH.
As Dizzy says, no rest for the wicked - unless you're a bloke it seems!MFW

atb are our blokes twins? Sounds like something he would do.
Just woken up, my back is actually aching from spending so much time in bed! 6.15am starts are going to be a shock next week.
Have had a bit of a tidy and put the DW on, the general clutter is starting to irritate me - going to have to rehome some more stuff soon. Not quite ready to face tackling the fridge yet but we are working our way through it - and emptying the freezer at the same time. Almost looking forward to getting back to mealplanning and normal meals!
We talked about going to the coast today for some fresh air but no-one else is awake yet. Might go and get a bath, the bracket holding the shower head snapped yesterday so the shower is out of action.0 -

Very hard frost here this morning, with blue sky and sunshine: I am not planning to go out until around lunchtime. Having started the Gift Aid claims, I intend to finish them, and it will declutter a load of paperwork off the spare bed
DH is going to the shops later, so I will give him a list of things I need for the weekend when all the family descend on us.
I am still wrapping the grandchildren's presents, between other jobs
Must remember to ring DS1 and DD this morning, to see what food they are bringing for the party.
I haven't even started reading for my next college assignment, which is due in on 5th January (only 500 words, but everything has to be referenced properly)
Hope everyone has a good day and stays safe on the icy roads and pavements x0 -

Sorry for you, ATB, but oh, I'm so glad it's not just me! This has been us for the past 2 weeks or so, and apparently the cough lts for 4-6 weeks. I can't wait
[STRIKE]One of [/STRIKE]DH's ONLY job on the list was to get the recycling bins out for collection today. I filled them yesterday and last night he was out fiddling around at the bins. Naturally I assumed that he was putting them at the end of the drive. Apparently not. Cue recycling lorry arriving and leaving and our ever so full bins are still.....by the back door.
He has gone out this morning, and it's a good job too. I'm so mad - cleaning frenzy has ensued, so DW is nearly run, beds stripped, wm on, ironing done, and kitchen about to be tackled. Don't mess with a woman whose bins have been scorned :eek:0 -
Bathroom cleaned
Towel wash in progress
Present bags sorted
Charity bag/school fare bag filled
I have little energy for some reason.
Off to Mr Ts when car is unfrozen0 -
Kids came back from party last night because DD 'wants to do some Uni work'. I arrived home about an hour ago, after an hour's journey and after helping sis tidy/sweep up.
Have showered. Kids are still in bed...mmmmmm
Have now got a working clock in lounge thanks to secret santa.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Lovely day at the coast, bit of fresh air, a go on the 2p machines followed by fish and chips. Oh and a wander around the shops too, didnt even bother looking at clothes but I did buy some new make up brushes.
Sleepy now. The house is gradually being restored to its pre-Christmas state but I am itching to take down the decorations and tree now.
Need to do paid stuff either tomorrow or Saturday. It might be tomorrow, especially if we get a bit of snow as forecast.0 -
Got home this afternoon via the crowded, cold but non-icy M3 and M25 plus Mr T for non-chocolate provisions as we have a car full of chocs. A bit of snow in the garden and very cold. We had a great Christmas but both Mr N and I went down with bad colds. I'm pretty peeved as I'd barely shaken off the last one. Still it was lovely to go through all your cards and thank you so much Secret Santa; perfect.
We are now exhausted from coughing and slobbed out watching Frozen. Surrounded by boxes, how come we have brought more back than we took?
Welcome to new flyladies, hugs to other cold sufferers or those with family struggles. Aim to be fit, well and galvanised to fly tomorrow. Maybe.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
