Belated happy birthday, Pigpen.

Welcome Nathsmam. :wave:froddington wrote: »Went to see The Greatest Showman at the cinema this morning - good fun, didn't need much brain power and Mr. Jackman!!
*sigh* Bliss.
Thank you so much Secret Santa Flylady. OH and I don't seem to have had much time to sit down and open presents this year, so we had a couple yestereday afternoon, after which I should have posted to say so. Apparently the scarf suits me, so it'll defo get worn as the temperature has dropped rather alarmingly here.
I'm very much hoping that next year we can have Christmas in our own house because we've been racing around and we're both a bit exhausted. My cold is getting better but because I lost my sense of smell I've eaten very little and managed to lose weight. Looking forward to chocolate when it's banished completely- no point in eating it if it can't be tasted. Took Kelpie to hydrotherapy this morning and he's put on 400g in a week!
The ground floor of the house is a complete tip and I haven't stripped the turkey yet. Bad Honey Bear.Better is good enough.0 -
Just popped on to say....

Nope..
Share? .. you can have cold germs and part ownership of a hysterical screaming toddler if you wish..
Recycling and food waste all binned.. cuppa made.. mini east refusing to eat breakfast.. hence the screaming! Why don’t we just all have a scream because we refuse to eat and so we are hungry?!
He'd have to do it properly, wouldn't he?
Himself was up watching crud on TV and eating vile stinky things until about 3am - I wandered down at about 2 for a chamomile tea and blew him a kiss because he stunk of the things. How can anybody eat such muck?
Feline World Wars commenced at about 11.30am, at which point I decided it was time to get up and they complained about the absence of catering provisions; found a single tin of meat blurps carefully stored behind the table decorations (why? We have an entire cupboard devoted to animal provision storage) and they are now enacting an uneasy armistice huddled up to my side.
Part of me wants to veg out in a hot bath for the next two hours and part of me wants to take a flamethrower to the kitchen. I'm feeling hugely fat and uncomfortable with the amount of non vegetable foods around for the last three days and last night's meds have rendered the taste of my morning caffeine rather like scorched mud in pondwater.
And it's still raining.
Tried to entertain myself by looking at the 'sale' items online. The freezer and dishwasher I was looking at on Christmas Eve have been reduced by a whole £3.85 and £20 respectively - with an increase in delivery charge of £15.
And they wonder why people don't 'do the sales' anymore? I'd have been incandescent with rage at the notion of trailing round stores on a day off to find that sort of 'offer'. And as for clothing, the very idea of squabbling with nutters prepared to draw blood over a top that has been dragged over the floor five times for the sake of a couple of quid's reduction (when they would never have bought it full price), well, they can have it.
This is exactly why, had it not been for the decision that Nobody Ever Wants To Travel By Train To See Anyone Over Christmas So The Entire Flipping Network Is Out Of Action, I would have been far happier plonked in the middle of Dartmoor for the period with hardly any shops, fewer people and the sound of rain in the trees, not on concrete. Well, except for the Boxing Day Hunt, but I'd have avoided that like the plague as arzeholes in red coats are just the same sort of people who fight in sales, just with more money and a big 'orse to sit on to make them feel brave and important. And I'm old enough that the little shop wouldn't refuse to sell me aniseed twists in a paper bag that inexplicably developed a hole whenever near....
Oooh, I can feel a Rage Clean approaching.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Afternoon all,
Party was a success, exhausted today though. Secretly pleased it's all over for another year! DS watching YouTube (bad mummy), and DD playing with her Barbies. DH is ridiculously hungover and tired - and has done sweet FA all morning so I've yelled at him and packed him off to the tip with all the recycling
YL - your comment made me laugh, my DH is just the same. I may as well have 3 kids!
Big hugs to dancemum xx
Off to raid the fridge I supppse I better feed everyone xxMFW

We're off to have our Christmas Party (family get-together) in a change of tradition. So I am (a) unlikely to be around later (b) likely to be incoherent later so...
I've left you a list for IF you feel like it. Enjoy.
We are Secret Santa-ing. I have given my santa an EXTENSIVE list of under-budget options. What I really ought to do is TD the top I am planning to wear. Happy belated birthday pigpen
I’m going YS bargain hunting. And there had better be some. I am furious at myself:mad:
*rant alert*
Having been sober for 2 1/2 years it did not occur to me to check Canadian travel requirements for booking our skiing holiday. They are going to turn down my eTa and there’s no guarantee I can do the visa paperwork in time to go. As it’s my responsibility it won’t be covered by insurance.
Aggggghhhhhhh.
Rant over. It’s my own fault. Properly punished.
Here’s to a lovely 2018 - at least I’ll get a summer holiday. We’ll be doing it cheaply - in Truro, for at least six months. I need to start house hunting. Apparently my whole family wants to visit for their summer holidays too:rotfl:Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -

No.. he would have to want to and not do it as some pity thing or as a substitute for a birthday or christmas present or because he felt obligated or forced.. it does not take 9 years to decide this is the direction you want your life to take.
So, I am considering getting kittens instead.. 2, to terrorise Pi.
Kitchen needs a few runs of the DW but it is looking fairly clear of christmas detritus.. and the washing is under control..
Best go feed the gremlins! Then I am knitting the sleeves to the rainbow cardigan for the new grand-blob, I should be able to get that finished tomorrow.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanks x
3 loads of washing done
Decorations taken down and put away.
Some dusting done
All calm at the moment so I will attempt to get dressed.
We have more Camhs appointments booked and other professionals involved. They seem to make things worse but we have to keep trying. If it was a partner we would be in a refuge by now0 -
DD (5 yo) is mopping the utility floor for me, bless her. DW on, WM on, washing pegged out in the sun and upstairs hoovered.
Leftovers for dinner, and I think I will start to fill a charity bag xxMFW
