    Happy Birthday, pigpen :D

Went to see The Greatest Showman at the cinema this morning - good fun, didn't need much brain power and Mr. Jackman!! :D

Wind and rain again today - I'd much prefer dry and cold Winter weather.

Hope everyone is ok - sounds like lots of fun was had yesterday.

    I ought to look at the list . . . . . . .

  • Happy birthday pigpen.

Lazy day here as I've had raging earache since 4am, so with the bad back bruised knees and cold now this im feeling rather sorry for myself.

Hugs to all that need one and hope you are managing to stay warm. It's wet cold and miserable here.

I have done all the wrapping recycling and got people to put their gifts in Their own rooms so it looks reasonably tidy

    Happy birthday Pipen x

Had an emergency false alarm dash to my parents’ this morning. Glad it was a false alarm.

Spent the afternoon at a family buffet. Had a lovely time.

On our return DS2 was not well behaved. I would have called for help if I knew who to call. Things are calm at the moment x
  • Evening all from a wannabe fly lady. 2018 is my get organised year and this seems a lovely friendly place to start.. I guess most days are not as easy as the last two eh.

Welcome Nathsmam, you’ll get lots of support here.
Spend less now, work less later.

Cook parsnips in water until tender (include some potato to bulk it up/improve the texture. Blitz with hot stock, possibly some thyme leaves. Add bits of Stilton until it melts. Pepper liberally and serve with flatbreads (flour, half a tsp of baking powder/bicarb and enough natural yoghurt to turn into dough - add thyme and pepper to taste, squish into harmburger size pieces and cook in dry frying pan).

He's now munching happily on [strike]vile things[/strike] various cheesy, oniony, chivey & beefy crisp type things. I hate all of these and went in search of the fabled fruity and salady items that were alleged to have been bought. I found a withered looking 'salad bowl' at the back of the fridge with added beetroot [strike]peelings[/strike] strips and half a jar of pickled onions.

I found something fruity, though. Fresh orange juice, only been left out on the counter for two days. It's being turned into Bucks Fizz immediately after I do my meds injection. The alcohol will render it safe, won't it?

I am going to gaffer tape him down whilst he sleeps at this rate, just so I can get into the kitchen.

  • Dancemum if anything like my DS Christmas is not easy. This is the best Christmas we have had with him for probably 8 or 9 years but it does feel at times like we are treading on eggshells. We have had one tearful moment. And yes who do you call eh?

    Happy Birthday Pigpen.

And welcome along Nathsmam. Enjoy that Bucks Fizz JoJo you deserve it (I am sure the juice will be fine).

A little laundry sorted here, leftovers eaten. Sitting and doing nothing does not come easily to me so I have been counting the contents of the penny jar! Over £100 in there. I made a list of similar jobs that I could do over Christmas if I started to get bored and fidgety.
