Welcome Glitternut!
mandco I spotted someone else with the gingerbread matchmakers on social media today, thank you for the heads up on the offer. I work near a Mr T so I'll head there this week when I can and stash those away.
No more Christmas purchases for me here, but I am now free on Saturday, so I might have to go shopping!0 -

Hi Glitternut.
Gingerbread matchmakers, nooooooooooooooooo.I will not be able to resist.I will have to ask someone to look after them for me or they wouldn't survive the day they were bought.
Coxy the candle sounds realy nice, can you remember how much they were?
If anyone sees the £1 chocolate oranges please give me a shout.I want to do some wrapped as Rudolph for fundraising for the Sally Army function I am involved with.
Did a car boot sale on Sunday, made about £50.Spent the lot, breakfast out for Mr V and myself and an ice cream parlour for us and DD1 and new beau.Easy come easy go!
I loved Christmas when my children were young. So much easier to buy for when they are younger.I look forward to having grandchildren one day.

vulpix - I think the candles were either £9.95 or £12.95. Lovely gift idea.
I placed an Ama$on order yesterday as it's my bday on Monday and the children wanted to get me something. I'd seen some books but even with bogohp in WHS and Water$tones it was working out more expensive than online. The order for three books came to £9.98 and it's only free delivery over £10 so I ordered 2 x electric toothbrushes for my two DSs for Xmas. Will need to look for one for DD as well. They have them already but they are 4 years old and could do with replacing.
Going to a local large craft fayre today with DH. He has taken today off in lieu of Monday as I am starting a new job that day. Hoping to find some nice things for in-laws (and get some tastings of local produce as well of course.....).
Have a good day all,

The gingerbread matchmakers are delish. I spotted them on Tuesday night at £2 all ready for the next days deals. Went in wed morning and got them for 75p. I've kept one for now and 5 for Xmas time. Gingerbread = Christmas for me. I actually kept one sachet on gingerbread latte from last year. It was best before March. But I'm hoping it will be ok Dec 1st. I don't think I'll find any this year. Stokiebecks very kindly sent me these ones. I savoured each one.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0

Went to Tesco this morning and they had a half aisle of the Christmas chocolates including matchmakers and chocolate coins. They also have their Christmas section on the grocery site: https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/shop/food-cupboard/christmas-treats/all
Baby will be 6m at christmas time so won't go mad for him this year but can't wait until next year when he'll have much more idea!0 -
What! gingerbread latte back!
Am of to Asda and Tesco today to stock up.They will have to go to my Mums till Christmas.
Went to Nottingham yesterday.B & M have an aisle of gift set type things out.
DD2 given money for her upcoming Birthday. She bought shoes, loads of socks and a jacket. She was looking at purses, luckily she didnt find one she liked. The one we bought on hols was one she picked up and looked at.I had previously primed Mr V that if she liked anything I was to give him the nod and he had to secretly buy it.
Things are eventualy calming down here.It has been a full on few weeks.I don't know if I said I have booked to do a craft fair? Doubt I will sell much but it will be interesting. It is an awkward time.Do you think it is too soon to do Christmas stuff?

Vulpix you could poss be asking the wrong audience about whether it's too early for Xmas stuff :rotfl:
Seriously though, I don't think it's too early to take Xmas bits and see how they go. If it's a bit slow you could always add a sign with an early bird price promo or something perhaps? Good luck with the craft fair.
Welcome all newbies. No further Xmas prep here but need to get finger out and check list. I did get some things in the sales and now am updating my list for things to add to it because I feel I haven't spent enoughFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
