:wave:Hi Jess! Glad to see you:D
Not got anything to say as such, but, driving home yesterday evening was slightly shocked to see a Christmas tree already up:eek:A smile costs little but creates much0 -
The tubs of chocolates have landed in Mozzers. £5 each or 2 for £8 at the moment. My willpower failed and staff discount meant I didn't have a choice but to pick 2 up :rotfl:£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

Hello all, long time lurker here, finally plucked up the courage to join - I hope it's ok to jump on board.
I am a self confessed Christmas addict. But this year is very different in that we no longer have any believers st home
DDs are 18 & 10, and I must admit I'm struggling to move past the toy stage, even though dd2 has definately out grown it!
I'm hoping to pick up inspiration, and grab back some festive spirit, from you lovely lot - all whilst keeping within a fairly tight budget.
Thanks for having me, I'm off to finish up reading my way through the thread now (currently on page 10) xx0 -
Co-op have Christmas chocolate tubs for £4.00.
Managed to get some Vimto flavoured fudge gift pack from TK maxx for my brother and two tubes of man flu sweets. Ive ordered some earrings from Etsy for my mum, so nearly finished her present.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -
Hello all,
Thanks for the info about choc tubs. I need to provide a couple of raffle prizes for two fundraisers this month, so those offers will come in handy. DH and I share an advent wallhanging - I put two chocolates in each pocket, so almost a full tub needed there, plus another for the family gatherings etc. Will I look piggy buying four?!
Had an awful dream last night that it was Christmas Eve and although I'd bought presents for the family, I hadn't got anything for the three children. It was so vivid and I remember saying to them that I'd give them the money to get their own thingsI think this is me panicking that I start a new full time job on Monday and I'm worried I won't have time to shop! DD has a birthday in October and has a list so anything she doesn't receive will go on to her Christmas wants. Not sure what the boys will want. DS2 likes gaming but that's about it, not interested in clothes or music yet. DS1 is quite fussy and likes designer stuff, got him a nice watch last year, struggling this year to think of ideas. So much easier when they were small!
Off to meet MIL today at a big shopping mall. She will give me my birthday present for next week as I'll be working. I need some clothes for the new job but will make the most of having a wander round - that reminds me, must take a notepad!
Have a good day all and welcome to the newbies. Looking forward to hearing about your family celebrations, traditions, and present buying.

tesco have matchmakers on offer for 75p including new gingerbread ones so I've officially started my xmas stash box
Now obviously I had to try the gingerbread ones in advance and I must say they are pretty good personally I'd have liked a little stronger flavour as they don't have the heat of proper gingerbread but they do taste like a choc covered gingerbread biscuit
welcome glitternut
Coxy it is def easier when the are smaller shopping for tweens/teens is really hard & expensive too. I'm really struggling with my older ones this year too they have consoles, phones ect already and haven't really asked for anything either.this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
It is not exactly money saving, but i have just seen the advent calendar i would like for myself this year. Primark are doing a Disney Christmas bauble advent Calendar for £15!!0

Back again. Managed to snaffle 3 tubs of chocs in Co-0p - Celebrations for the advent panel and 2 x Quality Street for the raffle prizes. Those were the only varieties my small store had, but they did have two huge stacks of each
Will get Heroes from somewhere else.....
Went around large shopping mall for an hour after meeting MIL. Saw some lovely bits in JLewis - thinking of getting BIL/SIL x 2 a foodie gift this year. They also had some lovely clear scented candles with a little village scene inside - the wick was the smoke from the chimney. They are not online yet so I can't post a link, but they were so cute.

Quite fancy this but knowing Primark they will sell out before I even see them as anything they seem to release seems to be snapped up very quickly (and then end up on selling sites for three times the cost)
Will have to keep my eyes open£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120
