Yeay I did it! My computer took a turn again and I have been unable to log in for ages.
Great to see the Christmas chat speed up.
I went to Dunelm today for frames for the prints for my son. They had a section of Christmassy gifts out.
Also went to Sainsburys. They had a good selection of candles with good reductions.
Jewels,I like The Range for Tree decorations.I think they are reasonably priced and look like they are garden centre prices iykwim.
We have been away for a few days to the North Yorkshire coast.Whitby,Scarborough,Filey,Bridlington,Beverly."It were grand."
Picked up a new frame at a car bootsale. I will do an embroidery for my eldest DD of her new house and her and her pets in the windows. I also got 7 little beanie teddies which I will sew ribbons on and put them with all the other beanie teddies I put on the childrens tree in the porch.
Oh got a purse on hols for DD2.
Thanks for the heads up on M&S shortbread.Mum and MIL will enjoy that.

Good morning ,
We had good news yesterday Dd's PIP has been awarded enhanced for both until 2021 , to say she is relieved is an understatment .
She has another xray of her leg tomorrow im hoping it will be her last but we will see i guess .Who would have thought 8 months on we would still be dealing with the aftermath of the holiday from hell .:(
Christmas wise other than Amazon vouchers and the dog i think im done , thats not to say if i see something i won't buy it but i'm not looking for anything else now .
Hope you all have a lovely relaxing day i'm off to work in a bit .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Quite often I think $uperdrug do half price and better than half price offers on their Christmas bits I think! They'll definitely put them on offer soon I would think, so I'm just making a list of what I want in preparation for then. I think they price a lot of things higher than they're really worth but sell them at a lower "money off" price the majority of the time...like most stores do!
The b0dy shop emailed me this morning saying they have their advent calendars and Christmas range bits out. I looked at the calendars...I'd love one but I can't justify the price personally.0 -
Hi and welcome Jewels! Sorry to hear it was a struggle at Christmas last year, hopefully by getting started now you’ll be able to enjoy it much more this year.
CHRISSY great news about DD’s PIP, what a relief. I hope all goes well with the xray. Well done on being finished, I’m at a stage where I know lots of things I want to buy but have to wait until nearer the time!
Thanks all for the heads up about Christmas shops being open etc, I’ll have to take a peek! It's an exciting time of year when all the Christmassy things start popping up!
We did the big school uniform and shoe shop yesterday so that’s another thing ticked off, need to iron name labels in now! Also got Squeak’s first shoes, he’s trying to walk all the time now so it was time. Can’t believe it!0 -
Went to the Works this morning. They've got some arty gift packs 2 for £10 with something mermaid and unicorn packs. I needed something for a boy and a girl and they didn't have much for boys in the offer. I can't think of two girls i need who's age would suit the packs, only really one of them so just had to leave it. Otherwise the offer would have been perfect and would have been another two ticked off!0

Bit pricey but then most of the beauty ones tend to be but might be worth seeing it they do the offer on them again this yearthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -

Hiya lovely festive people
I've been fairly busy with both my jobs and a little scare with brothers , finances baby making himself known with early contractions. We will know more this week about his arrival , she's having a scan today and midwife app later this week. She has far to much amneo fluid so they are concerned.
Christmas is still lingering in the back of my thoughts.
Sending love and hugs to all xxxNanMias - cyber granddaughter!
