still miserable weather lol. will attempt to clock up steps on cross trainer but being out the house keeps me motivated one for steps (cant exactly stop half way round inch/park) but also with over eating (therefore budget). I was really bad for chippy tea several times a week, pizza or ready meals. Always ate lunch on the go so often Greggs. Don't have that problem with shift patterns at the moment . £1 a day might not be the healthiest (depending on yellow stickers) but a lot better than the diet i had
will check the steps situation and maybe go out in the rain - no point in ending up ill though and having a setback£365 a year spend challenge - this has included food/clothes/beauty?? who knows where I am

This week I have walked 25 miles and done 64929 steps - so far! I seem to be averaging about 11500 steps a day, which I'm quite happy about.
I go back to work on Monday, so that might change! I usually manage about 12000 - 13000 steps on Tuesday and Thursday but only about 8500 on Monday and Wednesday. I think I'll start getting off the bus a stop earlier, get some more steps in that way.0 -
I am a 'boots on' walking recorder only as well.
I could record the distance covered nipping down to the chemist or going round the supermarket/shops but I don't really count that as walking.
Also, I use a satalite based TomTom watch so up and down the stairs won't really rack up any distance for me, only altitude. If I am short of miles one day, I am sure to make it up the next simply by taking my dog an extra walk.0 -

I am more of a 'trainers on' recorder only. I only track running... I don't track steps or hiking (Even up a mountain or 20 mile hikes)
Like Wizard I use a GPS watch (Garmin Fenix 3) to track distance and altitude (it has a barometric altimeter in it) so its pretty accurate for my runs.
I used to track steps on my watch but it all seemed a bit pointless as I was running on average about 6 miles a day anyway :rotfl: so I turned it off.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
I am hoping to start using my GPS watch (Forerunner 235) to actually record some running soon. I was injured when I got it and that has continued. I use it for step counting and have a Hike app to record 'boots on' walks.
Daily I am doing OK so far but I have not yet made up the missed day on 1st Jan.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans
