Hi!
Almost back to normal here after my OFSTED last week. :j
Had a busy weekend as we had our church's Autumn Fair on Saturday and then Sunday School to teach yesterday morning. I picked up some lovely os goodies at the fair made by some of the 'older' members of our church...fruit cake with pineapple, wm mince pies and the best ever ...pineapple jam.
I've caught up on my washing and ironing, made a meal plan for this week and had my shopping delivered today using a £10 voucher from the Tesco thread on this site. I seem to be spending much less by shopping online and today it was only £34.
I've made a shepherd's pie for tea and I'm going to use my sc tomorrow as I haven't used it for ages. So I'm back on the os track! :j
Hope everyone has had a good day, I'm off out to a meeting at 8 o'clock so I'll have to get DH to tape Doc Martin.
Have a good evening.0 -
Evening All
Pen -Pen I want a piglet!! We had pigs when I was younger and once we had the runt at home for a while, lovely whilst it was small but by the time it was fully grown it was massive - needless to say by then it lived in the stable.
Shez - I looked at the job centre website whilst sitting at home. Not much on there at the moment - thought they would be more Xmas jobs - lots of Father Xmas' required but dont think I have the relevant skills. Popping into town tomorrow will have a look around then.
Have done loads of paperwork today but feel like havnt accomplished much & loads more to do. Did get my holiday insurance sorted and through quidco so thats good.
Off now to serve dinner.
Have a peaceful evening.0 -
Afternoon all - back in computer land after a row with a keyboard - I lost but hte keyboard has been replaced at a cost of £4.44 - thanks asda
got a call from ddad last night to say he is coming over to england tomorrow - no notice so can't get any time off work or anything plus he is vague about his plans. He has started writing his autobiogrhy and has sent me the first 10,000 words - so funny but sad too. He was a barnardo's boy and was split up fro his sister when he was 10 and didn't see her again until about 15 years ago - reminds me of angela's ashes in style. Anyway he has got as far as having his first rejection letter which he is thrilled about and is coming over to go to some childhood places with his sister, to fill up some gaps in his memories and for inspiration. Myself and dd have booked to go to blackpool next week but might cancel it to spend some time with him - o curse this new keyboard - I can't get used to it at all
Oh and dd cut my fringe too short and the red black dye I bought has come out just black - I look like an old lady lily allen - sigh
anyway hope you all are well and that ladies with bumps are taking it easy - am off to practice on keyboard and make pancakes with leftover filling fro last week's cheese and onion pastiesI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Just having a quick catch-up before I get the dinner on. DH will be home in about half an hour and will want his usual three cups of tea before dinner so I can get the bolognese sauce on and dish it up when he's ready. Fresh pineapple for pudding so that's easy.
Managed to do some AQA this afternoon and have a short nap and do some knitting so feel as if I have achieved something.
Hope everyone has a good evening.
Must go and start the dinner. See you all later.

Had a quiet day - renewed prescription at surgery and popped into Sainsburys for some more bread as we had run low.
Made "gourmet" sausages with mash, gravy and cabbage and onion sauteed for tea and after dishes were put in DW had some time with DD (13) supervising her making cheese and onion bread rolls which turned out beautifully.
She fancied taking a couple of them for her school packed lunch tomorrow and the family is very impressed with them and her.
Hugs to jackieO and PennyPincher and anyone else with health problems.
We have had a tickly feeling in our throats so have been pouring home made elderberry extract down anyone who does not move fast enough to avoid it!

All that gym work must be paying off.
Well off for a sticky beak and then hit the sack. Byeeeeeeeeee
I'll have you know that Darcy is besotted with Mouse, and what consenting adult birds do in the privacy of their run is nowt to do with you:pPenelope_Penguin wrote: »Aussie - yes that is Darcy (doesn't look like CM picked up on your post  )
Anyone want a piglet?
Penny. x
Oh yes she did:rotfl: :rotfl: She expected you to defend your most glamorous bird:D As for those piglets, isn't a one-fifth size pig still a large animal?
Muppet, your poor hens!!! So many missing feathers, it must be wonderful for them to now have such lovely living conditions:D Well done you for rescuing them:T :T
Off for a quick look round,

Hi there
Really tired tonight as DD and the DGSs over today also my best friend came down today to see me. I really miss her now she is in a new relationship and made it clear no more holidays with me despite DH and DD hinting that OK at this end!!!!!!!!! She said her new partner would go in the huff! DD and I should probably go for a pamper weekend once DGS3 weaned!
Did our Florida album with DGS1 today as he wanted so see alligators and he thought they were wonderful - didn't rate the Space Centre! He loved my pictures of the manaties (sp?) He knows they are special as endangered and said he would like to see them! Saw pictures of my brother and his wife and couldn't get his head round that this is my brother. I kept telling him that he was Granny's brother but he said, no, I don't know him. I still feel sad he won't come home to see Mum -last time I saw him was March 2000.
DD still not good with post natal depression but we are now talking more. I just don't want her to think my wee problem down to her which it isn't. She tends to think she has put pressure on me which she hasn't.
We are having problems with wee black flies - keep trying to catch them with clapped hands but I think we will have to buy fly spray tomorrow.
Sorry to hear about those with the thread cold. Bare with me as I am not reading everything. Thanks to PenPen - downloaded your picture instructions - I do Flikr. Will do an experiment with my awful kitchen and then hopefully do after in February when I do it!!!!!!!!!!
Love and hugs to all (Mrs Mac - bought a huge Vinegar at Costco yesterday to go with the book!!!!!).0
