    Goodmorning everyone,

I'm just waiting for the shade so I can do some gardening. It's still a bit hot out there. Been pretty busy today. I've even made tomorrow nights tea as we are off to SeaWorld tomorrow. Haven't been there for years. I'm sure DGS will love it and hope to take some lovely photo's. The weather is nice this week unlike last week.

Amie Enjoy your outing to the pumpkin house.
CM & OMac Hope you get heaps of work done in your garden before it gets dark. :D
MrsM & Moiliere Get better soon.

What was DH doing with the shower gel in bed. Sounds interesting. :D

I better rescue DD's jewellery box. DGS is re-arranging it while I'm on here. I'm sure she won't know. :D Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning All

Hugs to those who didn't sleep properly.

Found out my car is severely hurt. When the cam belt went, it damaged at least half the engine which now needs replacing:eek: Thankfully BIL and his friend are going to get the parts (cost price) and do all the work for me (free) so it will cost significantly less than taking it to a garage. But will still cost hundreds of pounds. Have decided I won't start up kick boxing again just yet, instead the £9 a week can go towards fixing the car. My friend won't be too happy, but I have to prioritise here.

Got a night out on Wednesday, which I really don't want to go on. Mainly because of the car, but one person's cancelled a day off work to come down because I'm going and said they won't go if I don't, so feel I have to go really.

Made some good savings in Tesco yesterday. Managed to save nearly £10 in BOGOFS, a few more pence with reduced items and used £4 pinecone vouchers. Total saving £13.40:T

Working a very long day today as I've a massive project to finish before I go home. Was only sprung on me a couple of days ago, so I'm not best pleased about it, especially as they're not paying me any overtime for doing it.

    Hope everyone's ok

mioliere hope your feeling better soon

I'v just given the sofa and chairs a good clean the kids had let the dog jump all over them yesterday so were covered in mud, damp dusted in living room while i was at it. Have done all this early so that i have no excuse not to start the decluttering when i get back from school, going to start with the paper work then empty out the wicker baskets and big wooden box in living room which are all full of goodness knows what, that'll keep me busy. Not sure what shift oh is on he couldnt find his rota so he could be home at lunch time if hes on an early. My mum has said she'll have the kids for us at the weekend so we can get the wall paper up so that will be a treat for the kids as my mum and dad live in a small village so they have a little more freedom then they do at home.

Hugs to everyone who needs them.

    Morning everybody :hello:

Just a quickie from me at the moment or I'll be late for work.

I forgot to say that when Pen-Pin texted me yesterday she said to tell you she knew she'd be fine as the hospital are feeding her shepherd's pie :D

Churchmouse - I was looking at your new signature and thinking, oh no, am I an intellectual snob? Then I thought, OK, I don't think of the Lone Ranger (cos I've never seen it!) but I do think of (1) the soundtrack to a computer game we had on our Amstrad 1512 circa 1990, (2) mobile phone ringtones, and (3) a bizarre concert I went to once which involved the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra SINGING it instead of playing it. Will that do :rotfl:

Right, must be off, see you this evening.

    Good morning all :hello:

I got up at 6.30 when DH went off to work and made a start on the pile of ironing. Manged 3 shirts then thought " I will just switch the PC on ready for later".

It is now 8:17 and I have done no more ironing but read lots of inspirational threads. NEED MORE WILLPOWER! :o:o

Time now to go and wake up the ex-battery hens we adopted last week. It is so lovely to see them come out and look around them and see sky and grass. They are settling in well but we have not dared to let them mix with our existing girls yet ... I think feathers will fly!

Once that is done, I want to clean the kitchen, clean the lounge, get a loaf in the breadmaker, make some soup for lunch, do several washloads and finish the ironing. No pressure there then

I don't work Mondays and OH always views it as my 'rest day' ...... cheeky monkey :rotfl:

    Have a good day all

Morning all. DH has finally gone to work! Yippee!! Now I can get loads done (as long as I don't stay on here!) Seriously, much as I love him, he's impossible when he can't find enough to do and it makes it difficult for me to get things done. I've never got nothing to do! I did tell myself I wouldn't come back on here until I'd done my chores and been down to the village but, here I am. I'm going to call in at our new half-price book shop to get some more Christmas presents and I also need to go to the bank; then I can come back and work through my 'to-do' list.
MRSMIX - I do hope you start feeling better soon. This has been a horrible cold, hasn't it? I would feel a lot better if I could just get a good night's sleep but I don't feel ill anymore. Still haven't got the energy for the gym, though.

BARGAIN - glad you've heard from PENPIN - please send her some (((hugs))).

MUPPET - lots of love to your girls; they must think they're in paradise!

DLB - hope DD's cough clears up soon.

Well, I must get on. I've made the bed and cleaned the bathroom, cleared up the breakfast things; don't have enough washing for a load which is a shame because it looks like a lovely day today. Spag bol for dinner but I don't know what time DH will be home because it's his first day on this particular job.

Well, I'd better get a wiggle on if I want to get out by 9.30 this morning. Will call in later. Hope everyone has a great day and that the weather is good - it's lovely here, at the moment.

    Morning All

Sitting here in my newly decorated office with a fresh paint smell. Everything has been put back but think it will take me a couple of weeks to get it all ship shape and organised. Main thing is I have a lot more desk space. The desk is a little higher than the old one and think it will take me a couple of days to get used to and comfortable.

Mainly admin today and soon as its 9 o clock will be making some important phone calls, 1 to the bank as they have bounced a DD on the business a.c but there was more than enough money to cover?

Been looking at part time jobs online. Think I stretch my tasks to fit in with the time Ive got and Ive become lazy with my time management, also obviously the extra money will come in handy - wont be a lot but every bit helps. Am very nervous though as havnt worked outside the house for 7 years!!

WM on and hopefully will get the load dry before the rain comes later. Chilli and rice for tea - am feeling slightly organised today.

    Have a good one.

  • Morning all. I can't usually post on a Monday because I'm out walking with my friends but they have both pulled out this morning so I thought I'd make a start on the housework :rotfl: hmm, well I intend to.....

It's gloomy and cloudy here this morning and I don't have enough washing to make a full load so won't bother. Have unloaded the dishwasher though, fed the cat, the birds, the daughter and myself, and made the bed so that's a small start. Also remembered to get a couple of portions of veggie chilli and one of meat chilli out of the freezer so that's dinner sorted. Yay.

Have a doctor's appointment later on, have an infection I think so will beg for antibiotics to zap it and hopefully will start feeling better soon.

I'm glad PP is OK, Bargain RZl, please send hugs to her, shepherd's pie is a great pick-me-up.

Amiee enjoy the pumpkin house (if you find it), sounds intriguing.

Moliere, hope your cough starts to go away soon
Love and hugs to everyone else

    Morning All!
Like Molinare and Mrs Mix, I've got a cough and cold. Had this since last Weds.
Lost my voice Saturday, which wasn't good when I went to see Donny:eek: !
He was fantastic tho, he was having trouble with his voice too, hope it's better, he's got 10 more concerts to do:o

Haven't gone to work today. No voice, thick head and nose and legs seem wobbly too:confused: Need them to be okay, so taking things very easy.

Thanks for all the good wishes re Stephen's proposal! It won't be for a while yet tho, too many things have to be sorted out first, but it's wonderful to know that he wants to be with me for always.:T

Had a shower, going to get dressed now.
    Enjoy the day.
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T
