Since they took the money after you left you should contact your bank yourself and they will return your money to your account and deal with Outfox themselves to recover the money, you should also cancel your Direct Debit with Outfox at the same time and send Outfox an email telling them that you've cancelled it, another thing is that they don't tell you when they've produced the final bill, you have to keep looking in your Outfox account for it.0

Mostly unrelated to my post.
If I was to condense all my posts about Outfox in two threads into a single question that question would be:
Why is it right and proper for most energy suppliers but not right and proper when Outfox do exactly the same thing?
I'll qualify the above question by recognising for example that Outfox were quite savagely criticised for increasing the prices on their variable tariffs when other energy companies were doing exactly that!
Why do you care???? You're not a customer!Woohoohoohooooooooo0 -
We have had 6 months with Outfox.
I change every year, never had an issue with any until now.
My only comments are these, they are the most clueless inadequate company of so called professionals that I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. It's a running battle trying to keep just a couple of payments in front, they are reluctant to refund anything back or to reduce payments even when 3 months in credit and I'm talking about during the colder months of the year. They won't accept a meter reading, they want a photograph sending.
It's a mistake we will try to avoid in future and won't be back.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Most polite I can say is utterly shambolic management team. I have left after three months - Gone back to Bristol Energy, but I will have a battle getting my money back as i had to stop the DD because they ignored my final readings, taking more money out when I was in credit. Don't go there!
1. Month 1 started with great tariff and 'Club' membership fee saving over £250 a year
2. Month two several price hikes, they said was due to wholesale energy prices: Then they tried to double monthly direct debit saying we should pay more in the winter than in the summer, but when you calculated what they say it was a further price hike of 40% because they also upped your estimated energy as well.
3. Finally, they dropped Club fee and replaced with daily standing charge, without any announcement added a further £200 a year to your bill.
4. We all welcome competitiveness in the energy market but when OutFox changes the rules ad-hoc, later to apologise, it leaves you with the feeling they cannot be trusted. O' and they will not answer email and you can wait a long time on the phone. Farewell - my view? not to be trusted.
I think MSE reviews and recommendations should take into account Service performance as much as price. There is no point in starting at a low base only to pay +40% after three months - energy prices have not moved that much0 -
I did this to Economy Energy when they took m9neynoutbof mynaccount after I had left them and I promise it works. However, be aware that the company you take the money from can apply to overturn this. Your bank should warn you about this when you request the DDIndemnity0

The other problem is the £25 fee OFTM include within their terms for not paying.0 -

I warned OTM they have until tomorrow (Fri 25 Jan) to refund this money or I would do a DD Indemnity, but they just keep saying they need a final bill.and that my readings have to go through a regulator. It seems photographs of meters aren’t good enough as proof of final readings, yet they are good enough for my new company to use for my opening readings!0

Review/feedback as requested.
The most amateurish company I ever dealt with run by idiots.
Your Current Balance - designed by some idiot. It shows dates, and the balance with comments 'Direct Debit' and 'Invoice'. It's impossible to check the correctness of the balance as it was far too hard task for them to show the actual amounts of the invoices and the DDs.
Your Statements. You have to see them to believe!
"Your Electricity meter measures usage in kWh which simply means kilowatts used per hour." :rotfl: In fact kWh=kW multiplied by hour, not divided. "Kilowatts used per hour" in fact is power, and meters measure the consumed energy, not instant power. Only the worst pupils in schools don't know this basic fact.
My August bill shows two separate calculations: "Charge period from 18/07/2018 to 17/08/2018" and "Charge period from 18/07/2018 to 17/08/2018" with different figures. Yes, it's not my error - the dates are the same!
Your Energy Usage. Even a schoolchild could draw this graph better. One can only guess where and how they got the figures for this graph as they seem to have no correlation either with the meter readings or the invoices.
Today is Jan 24th. My statement date is 17th. And guess what, the statement isn't ready yet, although they promptly have taken their hugely inflated (don't get me started on this...) DD on the 18th despite my account being £160 in credit (much more than my monthly usage).
Yes, I know, I can claim the money back and can switch - and most likely I will soon.0 -

https://www.outfoxthemarket.co.uk/Faq.aspxHow often do I receive a statement?
You will receive a monthly bill in your customer portal, viewable before your specified direct debit date.
I even wrote to them last year highlighting this error, and received an acknowledgement about it. Typically for OFTM they've done nothing about it.0
