I'VE RUFFLED A FEW FEATHERS ON THIS FORUM AS I'M PREACHING TO THE CONVERTED, BUT THE GREAT SHAME IS THAT MOST PEOPLE ARE BEING RIPPED-OFF STUCK ON EXPENSIVE STANDARD VARIABLE TARIFFS BECAUSE THEY DON'T ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THE PRIVATISED ENERGY MARKET, AUTO-SWITCHING AND COMPARISON SITES ARE ALSO RIPOFFS BY SKIMMING POTENTIAL SAVINGS, PROVING THAT A FOOL AND HIS MONEY ARE SOON PARTED!

RALPHS, WHY DID YOU STICK WITH ONE VARIABLE PLUS 1.0 FROM OCTOBER 2019 UNTIL APRIL 2020, AS OUTFOX THE MARKET HAVE INTRODUCED A CHEAPER TARIFF EVERY MONTH BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS TRACK WHOLESALE PRICES?

TRACKING WHOLESALE PRICES IS HEADS YOU WIN, TAILS YOU DON'T LOSE BECAUSE IF PRICES GO DOWN YOU CAN SWITCH TO A CHEAPER TARIFF IMMEDIATELY, BUT IF PRICES GO UP YOU CAN STICK WITH YOUR EXISTING TARIFF AND OUTFOX THE MARKET ONLY PROFIT FROM STANDING CHARGES!

HEADS-UP, WHOLESALE PRICES ARE GOING UP BECAUSE SINCE I SWITCHED FROM FIX'D 20 7.0 TO FIX'D 20 9.0 LAST MONTH, OUTFOX THE MARKET HAVE INTRODUCED A MORE EXPENSIVE FIX'D 20 10.0 LAST WEEK AND AN EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE FIX'D 20 11.0 THIS WEEK, BUT IT'S STILL THE CHEAPEST TARIFF FOR MOST!

I am very impressed with OTM - well done & keep up the great work.
Call me cynical, but this is your first post.

It would be nice to think a leopard could change his spots, but .......
Yes that was my first post & it took me a while to work out how to provide comments on here!  I have now been with OTM for over 8 months - I admit I am an energy nerd & serial energy swapper thanks to MSE Energy Club.  I almost always go for cheapest over everything else, but all the negative comments on OTM very almost put me off.  I am so glad I went ahead with the switch, great customer service & saving me money.  OTM say they had problems in the early days & have worked hard to put them right - I have no idea what the problems were, as my experience with them has been positive & from all the comments I’m seeing on their FB page I’m not alone.  I think the low 2 star rating on MSE is a hang-up from when things were not so good & is therefore now very out of date.

OTM DON'T PAY COMMISSION TO AUTO-SWITCHING AND COMPARISON SITES, THEREFORE, MSE WON'T UPDATE THEIR 2 STAR RATING TO 5 STARS BECAUSE MSE WANT TO EARN COMMISSION, BUT OTM ARE SECOND TO NONE!

I don't know why anybody bothers with Trustpilot.  The sister company's magic dust non-storage radiators have glowing reviews as well.
Funny that there aren't many that say how wonderfully cheap they are to run...

THEY ARE WONDERFULLY CHEAP TO RUN IN THE SUMMER MONTHS BECAUSE THEY COST NOTHING TO RUN AND WITHOUT A GAS METER YOU ONLY HAVE ONE STANDING CHARGE TO PAY INSTEAD OF TWO!
  • Hi MSE, isn't it about time you updated your OTM front page?
I get great customer service from OTM and I'm so glad I use them.
Your front page is untrue and out of date!!!
Please update it or I'll tell the Queen that Martin's been a naughty boy!
