  • To be fair I have been with outfoxthemarket for 3 years now and to start with the service was abysmal.
Recently they have mich improved and I have had no issues at all and they are the cheapest around.so far so good for me.

Hi All, just to let you know Outfox has released a new tariff fix’d 9.0 20, it was cheaper for me and hopefully cheaper for you too. If you are already with them it’s worth a check, also I phoned them and got through right way.

I have been with OTM for a few months now - no issues or problems
Also adding meter readings is easy, quick and instant - the website is easy to use.
  • I was suprised to see the MSE comparison site for tariffs warning that Outfox service was poor lately. I have been with them for two years and never had any issues with customer service. Couple of problems over the companies change of DDs and separately an unnecessary DD hike was soon sorted to my satisfaction ... the 'chat' messaging service is quick and efficient. I noticed today the 'Fixed 20 9' tariff offered a better total price for me, so changed to it in seconds via a 'chat'. Based on my own expereince, I would say the 'poor' rating for CS is not necessaarily accurate and maybe resulted from a few customers who were upset over something!! Don't be put off would be my advice.
  • Re Gerry1's post ... I joined the forum in order to put forward my experience of Outfox. I've been with MSE for as long as it's been going but since negative report was not how I saw them, some balance was needed. Perhaps you could try them for yourself before posting sarcastic comments about me!

Fair enough, but it's not unknown for companies to post favourable reviews of themselves, e.g. on TrustPilot !  I was with their sister company Eco7 and they were utterly dire.  And of course the Magic Dust heaters are also related, so it's hardly surprising that favourable reviews are sometimes queried.

MSE CEC haven't updated their rating for OTM for at least six months.  "19% Great, 16% Okay, 65% Poor (176 votes)"

Perhaps OTM don't pay Money Supermarket (MSE) enough commission.

Wow - they must be really, really, really, really good - you are singing their praises within a quarter of an hour of joining the forums !
I hope my number of posts are high enough but I also have excellent customer support/service from OTM having recently joined them in Dec-2019. I have maybe switched to different cheaper tariff about 4/5 times since January and all by email which have been acknowledged quickly. I may have a different experience later on if I need them to reduce my DD or ask for refund of credit balance but I am happy to wait for that (or even pay higher DD amount) for cheaper unit rates.

I've bitten the bullet and switched to OTM. It was a toss up between them and Yorkshire Energy and, looking at recent reviews, YE appear to be having issues of their own; I was considering paying the extra £10 per year as the cost of better service, but it seems that OTM are unlikely to repeat their previous mistakes. Fingers crossed I won't regret it!

Following on from my favourable comment on 6 March, I have today switched again within OFTM.  I'm now on Fix'd 20 9.0.  This time I did it on "chat" and it took all of 3 minutes.  By the time I'd submitted readings it showed the switch was done.  Exceptional.  TBH I don't think I've ever had a supplier as cooperative and easy to work with as this.
How long does it take to get MSE to alter the feedback scores?  How do I add  my review?
