I don’t work that way either so can’t offer ideas. Being impatient I find myself wishing the month away, sometimes just because there is so much month at the end of the money.
Slowlyfading I just wanted to say thank you ever so much for running this thread for us the way you do.0 -

Just a little note - I've had a couple of messages demanding that the spreadsheet be updated. I am sorry that it isn't done daily, but I just don't have the time at the moment.
It will be done, and I will try to get online more often.
Thanks for all your work on this Slowly, most of us really appreciate it and realise that you have a lot of demands on you in "real life".
Would it be easier for you if you updated just once a month in one hit? It's not like the more it's updated the more money we earn!Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Final total for (half) year: -£4,0000 -
Thanks everyone - just explaining why really! I'd like to keep a bit more on top of things as it takes ages to update the spreadsheet if I let it build up. Plus, I know people like to see their own updates; I would too!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Finally got my last bit of interest for June so can update this months. Total saving for June £638 not bad at all since we had some extra expenses, OH broke his prescription sunglasses and can't live without them and some days out we hadn't planned for. Total savings for the year £3433.98 I can see us reaching the £6000 target without too much trouble. Aiming for £700 saving in July if possible.0

I managed to save £1,435 in June, it was a fairly low spend month. That's £6,033 so far this year, and £127,766 overall.

That's ridiculous SF - this is your challenge; you run it how you like! If people's savings will suffer because you didn't update the spreadsheet for a couple of days then the problem is most certainly on their end, not yours.
Thanks as ever for all your hard work
100% this! We're all incredibly grateful for all that you do, slowlyfading - you are the heart and soul of this thread. I can't believe anyone has been sending you such messagesGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

slowlyfading - your challenge, your rules, you update as and when you want to/can. I'm grateful that someone wants to take on the task at all.
I'll be brave and declare for June - I don't think I'll be spending anything for the rest of the week... so #38 declaring for £2031.94!!
Disclaimer: £1000 of that is LISA bonus, but still, over £1000 of my own money, so I'm pretty chuffed with that! And I was never expecting to be 85% of the way there after 6 months...

#112 reporting £347.18 for June. Summer is much harder with it being holiday season and already our holiday budget has disappeared which has impacted our savings. Good to know for next year! Unfortunately I suspect that July will be similar. In saying that, I'm still on track for the year.#112 Save 12k in 2018: 5000/6000

How frustrating SF - I ran the mortgage-free wannabe challenge for a couple of years so know how much work it is, and that tended to be smaller than this one. Thank you for all the work you put in!
I had a great savings month in June, with £5174.08 stashed away, making £21,758.54 for the first half of the year. Having some clear savings goals has really helped with the focus, I'm in a well-paid but long hours / high stress job, and want to have the option of stepping away from it in a few years time - I may not do it (I quite like much of what I do) but want it to be my choice, and getting savings in place is key0
