I have sent a PM to SF, to offer my help, as I had problems with my update form when I started again in January. I offered to help her with the link so hopefully she will either fix the link or I will offer my help.

We have a S&S ISA each. I set mine up in 2010 in one fund, direct with Fidelity. I followed them for about two years before "trusting"them with my little pot. It has frown by just over 25% since then, so not spectacular but deliberately a low risk fund.
Our other ISA is a direct invest ISA Platform through Charles Stanley Direct - we bought three funds, a VLS 60 (we are wishing two years of retirement), a Neil Woodford Income Accumulator Fund and a Foreign and Colonial Global fund. Of these, the VLS (which his a tracker) has grown fastest, and the F&C has struggled. The Woodford fund is somewhere in the middle.
I also help my Son with his tiny pot - he has three funds and a couple of FTSE 100 share holdings. I buy these on his behalf so he has a bit invested for his future. As he is in his 20s he has VLS80.
I also have a bond outside an ISA wrapper and some cash for emergencies. Diversification, isn't that the idea?Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Small update from me:
this week I added £619.25 to my house deposit pot. That makes it £1363.90 in 2018 and my overall house deposit stands at £4863.90
Really happy with our quick progress but to be honest this week we didn't have any bills coming out- only paid for food and topped up our gas card. Next two weeks there will be a lot of bills (including rent) so it will not be as good.0 -

I put my ‘saved’ money in multiple accounts including: current accounts, regular savers, HtB cash isa, P2P and also stocks & share ISA.
In terms of my saving count, I only include any new contributions to my S&S ISA."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett
